Question 6 bolt swap

Hey whats up guys i talked to someone at the shop the other day about putting a 6
bolt into my 95 talon. This is my first project car but it needs a new engine and i wanna start it out rite with a 6 bolt but i'm on a budget and can't afford to have you build one for me. I'm hoping i can buy a used motor and have you install it for me since you have
experience with this swap. Also as this is going to be a semi long term project
car for me id like to stick with one shop as i continue to tune this car and i
think LSE is that shop, I mean come on AWD DYNO frigin sweet. You claim $1000
for this swap what does that cover and whats the high end price look like?
Anyways I hope this can work out for the both of us. Thanx. Aaron chino_440@hotmail.com

Re: 6 bolt swap

By the way when i said im on a budget it doesn't mean i'm broke but i only have like 3500 to spend on a motor and install not enouph for a nice rebuilt one like i want. I found a guy who will do a swap for like 500 but he'll only replace it with the same type of motor but thats not really what I want to do.

Re: 6 bolt swap

Our motor in/motor out price for a dsm is $750.
+$255 to put a 6 bolt in a 2g.
That puts you at $1005 labor just to swap a full 6 bolt longblock in a 7 bolt, or one of our built longblocks into a 7 bolt chassis.
If your on that tight of a budget, your best bet honestly is to find a good used 6 bolt and have someone swap it in for you. That leaves you some money for maintence on the motor and such.
You talked to me on the phone, thank you for the inquiry!
