Need Help with oil return line.

Is there a way to keep the oil return line at the oil pan from leaking. Every DSM I have owned leaks from there. I tried the mitsugasket and RTV but no good. Any one have a good suggestion. This a 1GB DSM with a 4g63t engine.

Re: Need Help with oil return line.

Use a new gasket, put a very thin but complete coat of rtv on the gasket and stick that side onto the return line that is off of the car. After that mut a thin coat on the gasket that is on the return line and hand tighten the bolts onto the oil pan. wait like 30 mins and then tighten the rest of the way. This worked great for me. Make sure that the front of the car is up on ramps or something so the oil doesnt drip out and install it with no oil on either surfaces. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
