1992 Eagle Talon TSi $2000 OBO -Moving need to sell ASAP-
Ok so here is the deal, I'm going to be moving really soon and i need to get this out of my buddys garage.
I bought the car from my buddy about 8 months ago, The car smoked bad and was a complete slug. I took it apart and replaced the motor with the motor that i had for my last car, I also replaced the turbo that was on there. When the motor was out, I pressure washed the whole engine bay and re-painted it gloss black.
Info on the car:
200k Miles on the chassis, 300 Miles on the motor
-Manual
-4 bolt rear end
-Stock suspension
-Tan leather interior (Rear half of the car is gutted)
-HID's
-Battery was relocated to the back, 2 Gauge Wire, Plastic Battery Box
-NO ABS
The motor that is in there is a built motor, Mainly the bottom end is whats built.
Here are the mods:
-Block was hot tanked, Line bored, And bored out .40
-Crank was micropolished & the oiling holes were recessed
-.40 Mahle Pistons
-Manley I beam rods
-ARP main studs
-ARP L19 Head Studs
-Mits MLS Head Gasket
-ACL RACE Series Rod and Main Bearings
-New Mitsubishi front cover / Oil pump
-New Mitsubishi Oil Squirters
-Balance Shafts were removed
-Power Enterprise Kevlar Timing Belt
-OBX Aluminum Oil Pan (6.5 Qts I believe)
-New Mitsubishi Alternator
-Prothane Motor mount (All 4)
-Shaved & Polished Valve Cover
-Small 16G W/ Zero Shaft Play
-Tial Q BOV
-XS Power FMIC W 2.25" Piping
It has a ACT XACT 11# Flywheel, ACT 2900# PP, And a ACT street Disc
-It also has prothane shifter bushings under the hood
17" Rota Slipstreams W/ some shitty tires on them
-It has front and back drilled and slotted rotors on it W/ Ceramic pads
Here is the deal, I was doing the break in on the car and around 350 miles i noticed that it was starting to knock. The car had great oil pressure even when it started to knock. I think that a rod cap started to come loose, Either that or it spun a bearing... I personally think that it's one of the rod caps but i havent pulled anything apart yet and now dont really have the money or time to do it. The car ran AWESOME and pulled very nicely before any of this happened.
Right before this happened i did a compression test and all 4 cylinders were right around 175 - 180
I have all the receipts for all the parts, 90% Of the parts on the list were bought brand new, I have around 2K just in parts.
If you have any ?'s feel free to call me anytime 651-366-8682
The car is in NE MPLS, It has a clear title, Bring a trailer and cash and come get it!
I'll have pictures up here either tonight or tomorrow

Re: 1992 Eagle Talon TSi $2000 OBO -Moving need to sell ASAP-
Would you take $1000, dont mean to lowball but its kinda hard to pay over 1500 for a non running car. especially a 18 year old non running car. Just throwing that out there. If you dont want to take the offer, no harm.

Re: 1992 Eagle Talon TSi $2000 OBO -Moving need to sell ASAP-
Here are the pictures you've been waiting for...
Like i said, Im flexible on the price so make me an offer.. But please keep in mind that i have over 2K in parts alone into the car and im sure that with a little time and a couple hundred bucks this car will be back on the road.
After the car is fixed, All someone would need is DSMlink adn some injectors and the car should make some damn good power!
The car also has a 2.5" exhaust all the way back.
If there are any pictures that you want, I can go out to the garage and take them.
I NEED THIS CAR SOLD SOON! I will be moving in the next week so Im open to offers but please dont lowball me..
651-366-8682 Call / Text or PM me on here

Re: 1992 Eagle Talon TSi $2000 OBO -Moving need to sell ASAP-
Too bad ya don't have time to part it out...I'd take the motor, dunno if I can find enough for the whole car though.
How's the shell rust/dent wise?

Re: 1992 Eagle Talon TSi $2000 OBO -Moving need to sell ASAP-
Yea im not really trying to part it out, If you want to shoot me an offer on the motor through PM i'd maybe consider it...
As far as the body goes, There really isn't any rust / dents.. It was definatly re-painted at one point and they did a decent job, In some places you can see a little overspray but other then that it looks pretty good.
Jesse from primo has seen / been in the car.. It really was a nice setup up until whatever happened happened.
Feel free to make offers on it, The worst i can say is no.

Re: 1992 Eagle Talon TSi $2000 OBO -Moving need to sell ASAP-
Hmm, would think about making an offer if had a better idea of what's wrong with it. If ya pulled the pan and checked the caps, then I'd have an idea, and could make an offer.

Re: 1992 Eagle Talon TSi $2000 OBO -Moving need to sell ASAP-
I might do that, But id like to sell the car as is..
If i do end up pulling the pan, I'll probably just fix it and then keep it or sell the car for more.. I have over 1K in the pistons and rods alone...

Haha yea that clear corner was taped on, That wasn't my doing..
But yea it does have a newer tranny in it, I replaced the one that was in there with the one out of my last car. Shifts really nice, No grinds!
You should buy this thing from me, My current offer is 1500 bucks, It would make a good project for you!

Re: 1992 Eagle Talon TSi $2000 OBO -Moving need to sell ASAP-
He sounds pretty set on it, I wish i had the money / time to keep it but i dont. For $1500 bucks i feel its a damn good deal!! The only rust on the car is on the drivers side fender and its not that bad at all. I think i have a spare white fender that i could throw in with the car as long as i still have it.
