Convertible Top Ebay Link Kit

So I recently opened the top on my GST and I noticed it wont go all the way down. Looking closer at it the link that is near bow 2 (both side) is bent. Has anyone here personally used the Ebay Link Kit? I have search and read some review on it and it seems to be great. Thought I ask before purchasing them to fix the link and replace the top.

I don't know about that kit, but I had a bent bar that retracted the convertible top on my M3 and I replaced it with OEM parts. You might be better off just replacing the individual parts from the dealer, they're not that expensive.

They are a lot beefer than the thin crap Mitsu used. And uses a cable in over elastic to pull the bar down when the top folds. I will be getting a set of them some time. I have bent mine back a few to many times.

Re: Convertible Top Ebay Link Kit

Thanks guys; look like Ill be getting the set soon. As far as OEM; I would like to get them but as this is a common problem I don't have the money to replace them every time they bend.

That makes sense. The bar that bent on mine couldn't be bent back straight, I could see where beefier bars would help.

Re: Convertible Top Ebay Link Kit

Ok so I got the kit and installing them as I type here. I got the link to connect but as I read the instructions its not clear to me of where I attach the cable? It says to pull cable end back to center on #3 top bow...can anyone help me on this?
