My 90 tranny just junked out too but I blew 4th gear. I tried to find a 90 tranny, it aint easy. If you want I could take yours apart and see if I can piece two together for you or just figure out whats wrong with it. I dont plan on using mine anymore. Its not good practice to mix gear sets but I wouldnt worry about it.

It could just be the reverse/5th gear shift fork. Easy fix.

Call me or message me if you want me to take a look at it.

I have a 1990 AWD transmission, works fine, if you shift fast, 2nd grinds sometimes, it really isnt bad at all, just I gotta tell you everything. I think some redline would make it shift a little better.

car that it came out of had 120,000 miles on it.

$100

Lol , its most likely just a shift fork, and you dont even need to remove the tranny from the car to do the reverse/fifth gear fork.

Its all good, let me look at your tranny for ya when you swap it, then maybe you could have a backup in case this one your putting in fails. I like working on trannies. Besides I have a good reverse/fifth gear fork.
