Hey everyone! My names Armando (pronounced R-Mondo, hence why I spell my forum name the way I do). Usually I just go by Mondo. I was referred to this forum by Kracka as I'm sure you guys all know he is running NTEC down in the DFW area of Texas.
A little about me:
I'm Hispanic. 28 years old currently. I drive a 2008 Octane Blue Pearl Evolution X GSR which I bought brand new. I just started modding it back in March (yeah I know, wtf is wrong with me for taking so long). I love the car and am happy with how it performs (that includes before and after the mods). Anything else you'd like to know, just ask...or ask Kracka. I'm sure his responses would be more interesting than mine anyways, lol.
Now for some pictures! I hope you guys enjoy!
--edit: Moving the youtube clip up here so it's not forgotten. It's one of the best parts of the Blue LED conversion that Acree did for me
--edit2: Since everyone seems to love the gauges, I added another picture of just the gauges and center console screen.

If you like that, make sure you look at the Youtube clip I linked. You'll probably shit your pants when you see it....I know I did when I saw it LIVE. lol!

I thought about it and I partially debadged it. I took a couple of the trunk badges and put them on the front just to be unique. I really like the Mitsu Diamonds though so I kept it.

No way dude! Funny thing is that I bought these wheels from a guy in MN. I don't know if he's on here but I saw his FS thread on EvolutionM. I had been looking for these wheels for about 6 months and they always were already sold or didn't have a complete set due to some getting jacked up. I'm not about to get rid of these any time soon. I love them too much. Kracka has already tried to drop hints that he wants them, but he won't be able to break me.

Are those stock MR wheels that you traded someone for or are they a BBS that looks similar?
Ah gotcha. Misunderstood what you meant.
They are the MR BBS wheels. I bought them from a guy up in MN who had no use for them anymore. He was going to use them as his winter wheels, but then had an emergency come up and needed the money. I actually still have my GSR Enkei's as well. If I could have gotten my GSR with the MR BBS wheels when I bought it, I would have.
Re: Greetings MitsuStyles! Kracka recruits yet another one!
Thanks for the comments everyone!
Since everyone seems to love the Blue LED conversion, specifically the gauges, I added a close up picture of just the gauges and center console for everyone's enjoyment.

It's not the type of mod you can do yourself. One of the local NTEC members, Acree, started off doing conversions for 350Z's. He starting working on his Evo 9 and wanted to do some Evo 10's just to get his work out there for the local guys. I'm one of only 2 guys here in the DFW area that Acree has converted thus far.
When I say it's not a DIY mod, that's because you have to physically unsolder the red LED's from the stock components and get the right replacement LED (in whatever color) so that the circuit functions as normal. I'm pretty sure he had to throw some resistors into some of the stock parts so that everything runs smoothly.
The color changing needle is much more involved. I'm not sure what exactly he ended up doing, but he custom fabricated his own circuit board to put the LED's on so that the needle would grab light from the proper light source as it goes around the gauge. In the end, since it was only a 2 color conversion (blue to red with it being purple in the "bleed over" section), I think he just replaced the stock LED's and it came out pretty damn good.
