Re: my new project

Indeed! I can't wait for spring to hurry up and get here! I still need a few things to run the 6766 but it's at least all down hill from here

You know you own a dsm, right?

Haha, congrats!

I see auto 6266 vs manual 6766 in the future.

Haha you do have a valid point about the dsm. I guess I was kind of referring to just getting this engine job done. It's all down hill because all the really expensive parts are done (hopefully ha).

And if you're referring to vassil let's just see what my car makes first ;-) lol

Re: my new project

Well 67mm of billet hawtness showed up today! Well after FedEx delivered it to the wrong place and I had to track it down lol.

Now I just need to sort out the fuel pump issue, get a few miles on the engine get the new turbo on and get it tuned. Not too much left to do before she's ready to go!

Re: my new project

Boostin performance and Leasure both recommended going with the 1.32a/r so that is what I did. Its a divided t4 with a 1.32a/r

This thing is super light compared to the gt4294 too

Nice, That should mean it will spool like a .70ish and have top end of the 1.32. Badass.

Re: my new project

Yeah I'm super excited to see what this thing can do! Hopefully more power with a larger power band than the 4294

Thanks! And not good about the Eclipse! When it warms up if you want a hand let me know. Also cornfed2.4 gave me a fuse block cover or something for you. If you still have my number text me when you're free and I can get it to you

Re: my new project

Okay fuel pumps should be fixed. One of the connectors on the ground wore of one of the pumps was partially broken. The wire inside the sending unit was too long and putting stress on the connector. I shortened the wire and put a new connector on it. I ran the pumps for a good five minutes without popping a 40amp fuse so all should be good.

Also today at work was slow so I decided I would start to polish the comp cover of the new turbo. I just got the preliminary removing of the roughness of the casting. I picked up a bunch of sand paper so I can continue sometime soon here.

Re: my new project

A little update on the comp cover. I'm overly fed up and impatient with this thing lol. It's officially turned into project good enough. Meaning I'm just going to get it good enough lol the main parts that will be visible will be done good. The rest of the pita areas I'm just getting good enough so I can start on it with a buffer. Not sure if you can tell a difference in the pics but it's getting there. I have at least 12 hours into this thing so far. I'm ready for it to be done lol
