Received my clutch disc yesterday:
Hmmm....that's funny, because I could've swore this was going in a street car:

Re: Project Winter Beater
Also another nice pick up today. Through a turn of realizations, I ended up with a 4 bolt LSD rear end from my friend Zach. I'm not going to need the driveshaft from a 4 bolt am I?

All you need is the rear diff, axles and cups.

Thanks, that's what I got with it. I'm pretty excited to break the 3 bolt now....

Re: Project Winter Beater
Usually when your trying to break something it wont. But when your counting on it to hold up, it will break. So good luck.

I've noticed that a lot with cars. Maybe I should try selling it instead?

Re: Project Winter Beater
The 4 bolt? I would keep it. I just sold my 3 bolt for 20 bucks.

No, sell the 3 bolt instead of breaking it. Thats the thing, I don't think I could get much for it.

Re: Project Winter Beater
Some not so good news came up from my land lady yesterday. I can't run my extension cord to my garage anymore and when I asked what I could do she said I'm not suppose to be working on cars out there anyway....she says this while I'm in the middle of my second clutch job in this garage.... this issue she has, added with the new neighbors bitching about us, is making us look for a house with some friends to rent. It's frustrating because we have been here since September of '08 without a SINGLE COMPLAINT. I suppose I'm more lucky she doesn't know I've just done an engine swap and a 2nd clutch job....
For the moment I'm going to have to sneak out there at night, pull the driveshaft, front axles and bleed to brakes so my dad and I can flat tow it to their place so I can finish it up. This shit sucks but it's life, can't let it slow me down.

Re: Project Winter Beater
I went through the same shit when I used to live in IL. It starts to get really annoying.

Re: Project Winter Beater
Bled the brakes and rolled it outside to take the front axles out and pull the driveshaft. Either tonight or this weekend my dad and I will be flat-towing it to their place.
Anyways, I decided to snap a couple pics in the daylight:
And here's some body work that'll need to be done:
Once I get the car running and driving fine, it's going to Zach's place in Redwing so we can weld in good metal.

It comes with the territory IMO. Me, unlike most people, have WAY less money than time, so I'd rather work than spend a lot of money on my car...
Plus me and a friend are going in on a shell for super cheap with good panels among other things so we'll be cutting and welding.
