I plan on starting a new project this upcoming spring or fall hopefully and will be out in 2011 or 2012. With the new house and school and side jobs, to busy for one at the moment. If they werent on a Saturday I'd come out and check one out.

Re: 2009 Fall Dyno Day - Oct 3rd @ MAP
Ya'll might not care too much about an OWWDEE's results, but here are mine. I was one of the last cars to run.
1.8T with GT28RS (with HTA style Billet 68mm wheel). Pump Gas with Aquamist HFS-1 (1mm nozzle) spraying 50/50 water/meth around 4000rpm
19psi: 284whp, 292wtq
25psi: 339whp, 356wtq
The power band was near 325whp all the way from about 4700 to 6800rpm. Not too shabby, if I do say so myself. My last dyno (different turbo, different tune) was 242whp@19psi at DB.
Logs:
19psi 284whp 292wtq: http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?k...=0&output=html
25psi 339whp 356wtq: http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?k...=0&output=html
Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQlAUWx2g54
Graph (both 19 and 25psi, and one more aborted run where an IC hose popped off):
I had a great time, thanks scheides and everyone else who helped pull this off!

Had a great time! Super well put together event as usual, happy to have some dyno jet numbers as well.
I made 523 with 12.3 afrs and some knock at 33 psi, gotta get to the track again this year and see what she traps compared to the 455 on DB's dyno yeilding 128 traps.

Compared to some of the guys, your mod list sounds pretty reasonable/modest. Do you know what it put down totally stock or was that your first run with it?
|
My car originally put down 210 hp and 240 tq on DB's dyno. So with a little over a grand invested the car makes another 50 whp and another 40 wtq. Over all its a pretty modest build. I've spent the most money on my suspension so far, I like to think that this is the way the car should have originally came stock from the factory.
I'm in the process of putting miles on my clutch, and there is a good chance you guys will see me there.
Richard

Re: 2009 Fall Dyno Day - Oct 3rd @ MAP
I dunno about you, but I know I wouldn't want someone who doesn't know anything about operating a dyno, responsible for making sure my car doesn't go flying off the rollers at the top of 3rd gear with the wheels spinning at 90+mph. I'll leave that to the people who run the dyno every day.

If you make me a mod, I'll help on every one.
And I also think john hailey sucked. It's funny that the comments about his prices are that they were cheap, but everything else about his business was a rip off.
