Re: Big Brown's Automagic - The last episode in my DSM story.
Life post:
I was talking to a good friend and realized that as much as I would like the car done, I am enjoying playing with my son while I can, its nice that I have something to wrench on when I make the time but otherwise I couldn't care less.
I never got this before when I'd see other people get away from cars, but I get it now.
With that said I'm not giving up at all, told the wife I need some time in the garage to make some noise this weekend doing fab work.
I ordered a downpipe and v-band clamps should hopefully be here next week and save me time making one.
I also bought a tig finger xl, basically a shield for my fingers to rest on the work while I'm welding, should help me a bit more successful welding.

It's nice to take a step back and enjoy the little things in life, and stop being consumed by the meaningless.

It's awesome. Can't wait for spring so we can be outside, rather than being stuck in the house.

This is exactly my point of view since I started my second go around. Work on it when I have time, if not, then no biggie. Not like I have time to race it with two little ones anyways.

Re: Big Brown's Automagic - The last episode in my DSM story.
Got in some good hangs with some friends last friday, took the car even further apart.
yeah i just made more work for myself. But spending a few hours with it, made me want it back together.
I'm done updating this though.
Hopefully you will see it at a track this fall.

Sweet, and agree, having a kid changes your priorities. Chasing your son around and seeing him laugh his heart out is priceless.

Re: Big Brown's Automagic - The last episode in my DSM story.
I've been working on this slowly, however I realized today that I will finally not make it to the track for the first time in 9 years.
I've been quite lazy when it comes to working on the car this year and I've been waiting for a few weeks on parts to get powdercoated. (A friends workplace got super busy at the same time I dropped the parts off)
I'm going to be having shoulder surgery and it already hurts to drive a manual trans car that has power steering, so having a car that has no power steering won't be doable for me to race.
With that said, I'm going to try and do as much as I can before I have surgery and baby #2 gets here.

Re: Big Brown's Automagic - The last episode in my DSM story.
Blast from the past mudda trukkas!!!!
Car is still in my garage in pieces and slowly being taken apart, I had my shoulder surgery and I'm unable to do much, I've only been out of a sling for about a week.
Goal for 2016 is to run by PG2.
