Re: Yep..another one.
I'll be looking for a full piping kit to go along with a pretty decent sized core, closer to spring. I have no idea who designed the turbo to IC piping for the car, but it's weird. Literally goes, stock j-pipe, pipe with bov flange, curved pipe, into the top tank of the intercooler. It's super short route, literally 1ft of piping. Also have never seen a bov before the IC.
Asshanson pm'ed me about some brakes he has, hoping they're still around in the spring or until I have some money to spend . Might be asking what I plan to do with it. Well, I reallly want to make it to the track at least once. I loved racing at MAP's bir event, so hoping they have that again (plus getting hammered and singing journey to a crowd of about 50 was a good time too...hahaha). Would like to try out auto-crossing as well, but no paul, no rally-crossing haha (he will eventually try and get me to do it, cars too pretty for dirt). Power wise, 300-325hp and similar torque numbers, would be adequite. I only plan on using my small 16g, but if a deal on a 20g and some injectors come by, I may upgrade.
If I do the brake upgrade I'm planning, I will need rims. (rota haters look away) I would like some rota p45f's, but may just buy some evo rims, since they'll clear the calipers going on there.

I rock Rota's. I don't care if they are knock-offs. They look good, came in the right size/offest, and a good price tag. Like a sore dick, can't beat that!!

Re: Yep..another one.
I don't have a problem with them. I can't afford works or volk, but like the looks of them. I was in love with the p45r's (just a more aggressive rake on the spoke), buy no way they're fitting under 1g wheel wells. I would want a different set then everyone has, half the Honda guys have slip streams on their cars (or at least 2 of the on the back lol).

Re: Yep..another one.
I've had Rota P45F's on my evo for 3 years now, I love them. Sometimes I wish I had got the R's, but the F's have a really nice, clean, basic 5-spoke look to them...that's what I was after.

Re: Yep..another one.
Thats what I'm going for. The r's look nuts on evos, but I talked with some wheel guys and they won't fit on my 1g (without some changes being made). Oh, and the will be black, call it played out, but I really couldn't give 2 shits..haha. With the black top, on a white car, with black rims...think it will look really nice.

Re: Yep..another one.
I def wanna come watch one this year, but the way I plan to set up my car, it just doesn't seem dirt friendly haha.
If I still had the maroon talon with blizzaks, I'd be down. But a lowered street car with street radials doesn't seem like a good time.

Re: Yep..another one.
I've been doing nothing the past couple days, and find myself on tuners more and more. Reading about some of the evoIII 16g cars, has made me decide to bump up to one of those. Also, my reading has made me decide to move to e-fuel in the spring. There's a station right by my house, and one right by my grandparents, and those are my usual 2 areas I'm around, so availability won't be a problem.
Now I would plan to ditch my safc, and depending on when ecmlink lite comes out for dsm's, I'd prob go that route. Anyone have any info on when they're gonna be releasing it? I figured a set of fic 1000cc injectors would do the job just fine, so thats what I'm planning on getting (if it's overkill, just call me out on it, cause I'm no expert when it comes to the e-fuel switch).
So my goals will change a bit. I have a good tranny, and a good condition act 2600 in the car, so not too worried about that end. Plan to do a bit of porting, nothing crazy, just a mild port job on the exhaust manifold, turbo, and port matching the head. I'll be going through the drivetrain, so I hope to make it a reliable 350-400hp car (somewhere in that range). I just don't wanna blow it up..hahaha

Re: Yep..another one.
1000's should be good into the low 400's at DB. Once my build is done I'll be pushing the 1k's that I have fairly hard but there aren't many injector options on the X right now.

Re: Yep..another one.
i really don't know a whole lot with the e-fuel, but i know that that'll be pretty good and deffinately not overkill. you could even use higher cc ones if you want.

Re: Yep..another one.
Well then I'll be getting 1000cc's. Maybe some of the 16g guys, that are pushing/have pushed their 16g's pretty hard, can chime in with some tips on how to get all I can out of one. Those crazy English racing guys, are getting like 450+ out of theirs, but on e98 and 40psi spikes!

Re: Yep..another one.
Not sure. Danes more than capable of rebuilding a shortblock for me. If I have the money though, I'm gonna send it out to have it done (ill be sending it to gosh, to have it honed and decked regardless) Ill end up doing the final assembly (putting the longblock together), taking my time, and doing it by the book. I still haven't dug into exactly what happened, so I guess come spring, I'll know what failed.

Re: Yep..another one.
I maxed out a big 16g (34psi spike dropping to 24) and maxed out a small 16g with the same boost level on my 950's and never had a problem. Now I'm moving on to a bigger turbo so I'll def be needing bigger injectors. When I put mine up for sale I'll have to PM you.

Re: Yep..another one.
What numbers did you see with the big 16g at that level? Idk if I'll push the evo 3 16g that far, but would be nice to have an idea. And def let me know when you sell those injectors.

Re: Yep..another one.
If you're interested in it, I can pull it during the winter, and sell it. It's a top tank style, so the end tanks are on the top and bottom, it's very short route intercooler piping. Pm me if you're actually interested. I need to dig the car out anyways, and throw a either a car cover, or a tarp over it anyways.
