Re: Project Lex
Too much work to change the color. It'll be the same color, or we may try to just go a shade darker.

Should look sweet when done, good work, I like the spoiler.
We need a blaine meet this summer. Lots of people already meet at Bricks, or they did, would be nice to see you guys again once I get my POS working again.

We can do our own meet, some of those guys are crazy loud and obnoxious and not appropriate for public. (Swearing and talking about inappropriateness with kids/families around)
I like the current color, can't wait to see what it looks like all fresh.

Brick's, been there once and will never go back. Wild Bill's patio is nice, we met there a couple years ago.

Roger that, makes sense. Your current color was nice, just wasn't sure if you were going to mix it up.

I haven't really been to one of those recently honestly. I have avoided car related events in general as it just depresses me thinking about my car not running lol. So until my car works I will prolly just hold off.

As long as its not later this is a good suggestion. Lot of dbags show up on Friday/Saturday nights for the party time goodness, so best to avoid then.
Not sure if you guys have been to Bluzy's, but the beer selection there is good and good burgers. It's new, right on 125th off central by the perkins.

Re: Project Lex
Drove by it a few times and wondered about it, but have never gone in. Me personally in the summer I like being outside, do they have a patio?
Honestly though, weekly meets don't interest me that much anymore. But if we had a local one with just a few of us just a couple times over the summer, I could probably do that. Or even just do a local cruise by Stillwater or something on a sunny Saturday for a few hours.

Yes, big patio I believe. I haven't been there since its been warm though but 99% sure it has a patio.
I agree on the weekly meets. I get way too busy with other parts of life, gf, working late, traveling for work and hanging with normal friends (cabin trips etc), so I can never make stuff weekly typically.
Cruise to stillwater sounds as good or better actually. I don't think we need to setup anything on occurrence, just set something up sometime this summer, maybe shoot for early June or something.

Re: Project Lex
Date setup for Tuesday to drop the car off for body work. I have a work trip the week of the 19th so hopefully once I get back from the trip the car is ready to come home. Perfect timing!
Today I installed a set of 15mm hub centric wheel spacers up front with longer studs so the front wheels are a little more flush and not so sunk in. I'm really happy with how they turned out! Some people run 20mm, but this is perfect for me, especially since the next set of tires will be a hair more meaty. pics are hard to tell from the angles, but looks so much better than it used to in person.
I also bought a set of 5mm spacers for the rears that should be here Monday.
Angle kind of sucks, but here's some pics.

Re: Project Lex
Car has been dropped off at the body shop. Tentative finish date is 5-27. It'll either be painted the same 6m2 color, unless he finds the similar 6m1 color is more accessible/cheaper. Can't wait !!

Re: Project Lex
Some teaser pics the body guy sent me. Running a little behind schedule but no biggie.
Imperfections straightened out and prepped:
Painted using PPG Omni Plus paint (code 6M2) and 3 coats of clear:
Just needs to paint the pieces that were removed and assemble. Hopefully will have it back in a few days!

Re: Project Lex
Oh dang dude! I didnt think they were repainting the whole thing! Why not go with a different color? I suppose a lot more work with door jams and engine bay, etc.

Re: Project Lex
Yep whole car. And a different color was just too much of a PITA with having to do all the nooks and cranny's, and engine bay, etc.
I did ask if we could go a shade darker, which we could have but it would have just been eyeballing some black paint into the mixture and hope it turned out good, and in the future if I ever had to repaint one part it'd be tough to match. So just said screw it use the same color. We tried to find an OEM paint code that was similar but a little darker but this was the darkest we could find actually, so oh well. It'll still look good I think.

Thanks, I have some 5mm ones waiting at home for the rears when it gets back. Hopefully that'll look nice. If there's still more room left, I may try some 10mm's instead but I think 5mm back there will be just fine for my taste.
