Hmm, that list makes me want to drag my car again. It's nice having a running car two full years in a row even though it's sitting on jackstands.

With the new turbo are you going to be able to build boost at the line? Looking good tho. Can't wait to see it out putting the butt hurt on people....

Only one way to find out, if it doesn't then i'll have to spray it.
We will see, people are crazy these days its not random powered cars anymore everyone wants to be the fastest.

Re: Big Brown's Automagic - The last episode in my DSM story.
2/28/14:
Received all of my oil return fittings.
These fittings are huge! Seriously they look stupid.
I'm gonna have quite a bit of work to do to get these to fit.
I'll have to take the pan off, but that will give me a chance to modify the oil pickup too.
Now just need the weather to warm up so I can have a chance to work on it. Now that I have the parts of course I don't have any time. I work almost everyday until April 23rd.

What are you doing to the oil pickup?

Re: Big Brown's Automagic - The last episode in my DSM story.
I'll be having the front 2/3rd of it welded over with a plate. Per Kiggly it helps pickup issues when cutting low 60 Fts.

Re: Big Brown's Automagic - The last episode in my DSM story.
I called him and he wanted $85+, so I passed.
Lame sauce update time:
I've basically had zero drive to work on the car for the last few months I can't explain it. That has changed a bit since I've realized that this is my only hope to go "fast" so i have to do it. I'm actually more excited to hit the track (turns) with my bmw more than anything, but I realized that I can't keep up my shit talking without anything to back it up.
Anywho, was outside today and did this:
I went a bit too much and the hole is bigger than I wanted it to be, but it will work.
Fitting a -12AN drain has been kicking my ass, but to be honest its not that hard, if I would of just settled down and looked at it better from the get go I'd be done with it.
I did however discover that fitting PTE SP covered turbo in there is a PITA, so I need to find a NT water pipe.

Re: Big Brown's Automagic - The last episode in my DSM story.
Thanks to the bearing master that I know. Specs were checked and good, new set of ACL's rolled in.
I need to weld the oil pickup tube and make change my LICP because of the new turbo.
Most of the ugly visible engine bay stuff will be temporary since I'm desperate to have the car running next week, but then I'll use the summer to change things to how I want them.
I realized for the amount of time I've had with the car I really haven't done a lot of work to make it reliable and that is where my issue is, I need to spend some more time fixing all the current issues and getting reliable, so hopefully that is what this year will be.
I don't plan on installing a boost controller so it will only be at about 21-24psi for now.

Re: Big Brown's Automagic - The last episode in my DSM story.
Haven't welded for a couple of weeks, I was tired of doing random crap.
Well I needed to do the Kiggly oil pickup mod and I believe it was successful.
I took a wire wheel to the pickup and acetone. Wasn't too bad once I figured out a good position to be in.
Ordered a bung for the GM IAT sensor and I'm supposed to be MIG welding my oil drain line tonight, if that is the case I will get the pan back on and do all the stuff underneath the car I think, well I have tomorrow off so we will see.
