No. EF2 turbine wheel, but with a different compressor wheel that allows for the larger 3" inlet. The EF2 compressor wheel isn't big enough to warrant anything but the stock turbo inlet

It's the EF3's compressor wheel.

Yea, probably ~56mm compressor about the size of an FP Red.
My BBX had a stock compressor cover on it and was even bigger than this compressor setup so going back to a non-antisurge should work just fine. You have mivec to take away any surge that might 'just happen' from the conversion. Should add another 1-2% everywhere powerwise so you might just hit 430
Honestly I'm a tish skeptical if it will really help down low though but I really don't think it will hurt to try.

Re: GheyrodX - bigger, fatter, gheyer!
I'm hoping Kevin gets it up tomorrow.
I just got back from a pretty good drive and the car really does rip and pulls hard all the way to rev-limiter! It drives really smooth throughout the RPM range, I'm giving thanks to the anti-surge for that. I would like to get a touch of response and spool back though, so I'm thinking it would be ideal to give up a bit of that smoothness in the name of response and swap over to the standard cover. I'm questioning whether this turbo actually needs the anti-surge ports.

That kind of power on stock cams and pump is very amazing. Very nice!

Looks like it needs more boost thrown at it to better illustrate the difference.

Look like the ef2 is better. The spool up doesnt look all that great on the 2.5

Re: GheyrodX - bigger, fatter, gheyer!
I'm discussing with MAP and we have a few ideas on changes to try. This is why it's called prototype testing I suppose

Yea I agree, for the "ultimate street turbo" you are after Kracka I don't see the advantage with the 2.5. Hell, my EF4 is only about 200rpms behind your turbo up to 27psi and I am not even on full mivec (obviously totally different setups, but still).
EF2 ftw on your car. /pray new cover helps.

I agree fully. My previous EF2 is the better "ultimate street turbo" all things considered, but we'll see how the standard cover performs. If I can gain back half the spool lost then I think we'll have a viable contender. MAP has asked me to get it done so I'll be calling Cobb to get something on the calendar.

Hughes you should run that thing down the 1/4 mile someday. I don't really care about the ET but i'm curious as to what sort of trap speeds it would pull.

Some day I will do that for you. Maybe once the stock clutch goes and it's replaced with something a bit beefier.

Those cars area all really close. I guess for good reason, stock block cars I am guessing.

Re: GheyrodX - bigger, fatter, gheyer!
You can scan the QR codes, or just go to their online dyno database for all the info/details on each setup (since you probably can't scan the tiny on-screen codes).

What kind of gains do you think some cams would net you?
