I did call them today, told them I wanted to arrange pick up, they didn't fight as of yet. A guy is supposed to be calling back this afternoon to schedule it. So if you seriously want to road trip, your welcome to come. Should be fun.

Just got off the phone with them, doesn't sound like there going to fight it. They tried to tell me it was pretty heavy etc to scare me off, must not have realized there was a picture of it sitting beside an average monitor. They are going to figure out what day will work best since it is in a different location and call me back. So it looks like the long ride to MI will happen. Gotta love it. Now I should know if you crank is round to within like .0000000000000000" or so haha. It is all part of the master plan

And if its not?
Time to win some tooling for a crankshaft straitener (odd looking punch thing and hammer + a preload). Then win a boring/diamond hone machine and you wont have to outsource!

So this thing just tells you if its round and doesnt do anything about it? Kinda pointless if you ask me, because if you find that its not round, then you just say.... umm its not round.... but i cant do anything about it, so i just wanted to tell you that its not round and your gonna have to deal with it. LOL Cheap purchase but pretty pointless if you ask me, at least until you get a tool to actually do something about it.

Damn tom, your absolutely right, I will go throw all my micrometers, dial indicators and bore gauges away, and especially that worthless suface plate. Imagine, the pointless purchase that was. Check something, find out its out of tollerance and stand there wondering what to do about it. Geez, what was I thinking? hahahaha. Why do you assume there is nothing that can be done about it? Just because you don't know what to do? Your one of "those" people arn't you? Stand around saying "it" (whatever it may be) won't work to make yourself look intelligent instead of using what little brain you have to help figure out a solution. Don't feel bad, your not alone, I see others like you all the time.
Stick with Microsoft, it fits you well. If there isn't a pre canned solution to you problem available for download, you can just blame Microsoft and call it done.

See a problem, Verify its off (as you now can), and do something about it.
I didnt mean to insult your inteligence or make you look like you didnt know what you were doing mike, just asking you a question about what you would do if it was off.
