Facebook links don't work. Put them on Photobucket or something.

Re: If you can start a new project car, what would it be?
Ok I posted the 996 that's a reasonable goal some day, but let's push this outside the box...Steve mentioned a cobra kit car, how about something like that, literally build a car from the ground up? I've been swooning over the Ultima GT kit car for about 12 years now....some day, maybe...some day!
I made a thread about it on here about a year ago:
http://mitsustyle.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21953
massive massive project, but hot damn! wonder if you can bolt a 4G63 or 4G64 up to a porsche gearbox....

That is some nice photo shopping
No love for the classic Rat Rods?
I am looking at buying some classic trucks for my landscaping business. We have a 1955 Chevy 3/4 ton truck that is going to be rebuilt.
It would be eye catching.

This one is really neat. Air bag suspension so it can be lowered and cars can be brought onto it. with some added platform some lawn mowers or landscaping equipment could be added to it.
Farm trucks are plentiful and this would be a cool welding project.
I think I am getting tired of the 4g63 and want to change to something else for a while. The RX-7 with LS-X would be a good project. But if I had the choice right now it seems like the classic car would be the most enjoyable right now.
I have a xs650 (cheap and a dime a dozen) and I am going to try to do something like this.
We will have to wait and see what happens.
I also have my Scummit. I think that is going to be the last mitsu project for a while. It is going to be one of those budget project under $2000
Here it is in minneapolis shoved on a snow bank! HA my GF thought I couldn't park there because of the now.

That Ultima GTR looks sweet! It's pretty amazing that they can make building a car that straightforward.

Re: If you can start a new project car, what would it be?
1. I'd like a Factory Five roadster or Cobra kit car, powered with a navigator 5.4 block and cobra heads(I think they bolt up) and a decent turbo or even stock charger. Nothing too crazy, keep it around 500hp in a 2500lb package and totally turn key.
2. 450hp DSM powertrain mounted up on an Ariel Atom. Would be kinda cool.
3. a turbo setup on my 4.0L I6....

Re: If you can start a new project car, what would it be?
Cars I'd love to own and play with in no particular order...
Chevrolet Corvette C5 Z06, pewter in color, bolt ons, nice sounding exhaust, nice black or gun metal wheels
Nissan 300ZX TT (1990-1996) in pearl white/white/silver, engine work with bigger turbos, make a nice reliable 400WHP+, JDM or aftermarket front bumper, deep wheels, (my honest dream car, this car made me fall in love with performance cars, the body style will stand the test of time)
MkIV Supra, any color, nice wheels and have fun with the mods
2002-2005 Acura NSX, put some nice wheels on it, maybe stiffen the suspension a bit and call it done
2002-2004 Ford Mustang Cobra, white/silver/metallic smoke, nothing crazy in the power department but make it handle and stop like a sports car should (probably the most reasonable of the cars I've mentioned)
A kit car supercar such as a Factory Five GTM, though I wouldn't entirely be picky as long as it had the power to back up the looks.

Re: If you can start a new project car, what would it be?
As much as I love me some dsm's, I have a soft spot for mustangs....I know, weird right. I was dead set on owning a 2003 cobra for a long time, still would like one.

Having independent rear suspension on a Mustang gets me hot and bothered for some reason.

I don't blame you. I have that same soft spot. The 03-04's were the only years they came with the blower from the factory.
Or I'd like an twin turbo 5.0 Fox body.
