Re: My Winter Upgrades
Well just got off the phone with BEP. That sweet deal of a turbo was basically shot. It was the non-extended tip compressor wheel, he found a part of the center section cracked and broken off. I had also asked him to swap in a ET compressor wheel, but he said that the compressor wheel was seized onto the shaft so they couldn't get it off. Shit Deng!!!
Solution to the problem was, I just ordered a brand new S362 from him. Should ship in a couple days. It'll come with a .70 A/R T3 housing, with a V-Band out which I'm pretty happy about! Can't wait to see it in person!

Re: My Winter Upgrades
Just went and spent $30 on SS fasteners. I think from now on, everytime I change something, or take something off, I'm going to spend the couple bucks to replace it with SS hardware. I bought SS fasteners for the TB, and for the Valve Cover just now. Yaay!

Re: My Winter Upgrades
I enjoy that too. You should get some stainless, metric, socket head cap screws.

The bolts for my valve cover that I just bought, are exactly that.

Re: My Winter Upgrades
Well the turbo arrived Thursday, but I couldn't get it because it required me to be home in person to sign for it. Bummer. Anywho it's sitting at the shipping office and I can go pick it up on Tuesday, I'm pretty excited!

Re: My Winter Upgrades
Ya I got a decent deal on it. I'll post up some pics of it Tuesday or Wednesday once I have it in my hands.
From what I gather, it should flow a bit more than a GT35R at higher boost levels because of the extended tip design, and have pretty good spool up.

Re: My Winter Upgrades
I'm interested to see what spool up time on one of these bad boys is...It's always nice to see people try something different than what every body else is doing.

Re: My Winter Upgrades
No it's not. I think BW may have some real custom stuff out there that is BB, but most of what you'll see will all be just standard bearing.

Re: My Winter Upgrades
I wanted to have a good medium between flow, and spool. I think T3 in the size that I got, will offer that since this is a street driven car that will see a track only a few times.

Re: My Winter Upgrades
Cool, I look forward to you getting your car out. I have kinda been looking at these turbos thinking they might be the way to get a little more airflow than a GT35 but have better spool that some of the big boys.
You have a 2.3 correct?
