I'll be there.
I might need a ride, but I'm going.

Nice!
I am still out on putting the motor in. It should be going tommorrow. Then its a mad dash of wiring up stuff, making ic piping, making exhaust, the only advantage is I don't have to schedule dyno time, I just go do it .
Good luck Jet, hopefully we'll see you out there sunday!

Good luck Swanny, I know I always run into things I hadn't planned on when trying to get things done. Don't rush anything too much just to get it running, that always comes back to bite you in the end. Sounds like a lot of work yet, good luck!

Re: Rock Falls April 9th (sunday)
Since it's the first time out, why aren't you guys going to Saturday test day instead? I generally goto test days & fun days myself because I hate Import days. I guess I just can't stand shit that takes 15-16+ seconds to go down the track, not to mention other junk. I'll guess at some point this year, i'll have to goto import day just to be able to meet people off this board, in person.

And I could use an extra day to get everything buttoned up!

Re: Rock Falls April 9th (sunday)
Yeah i know it's more money but personally for me it's worth it, especially the season opener after many of us have made changes over the winter. Race days are iffy unless you know dam well you're gonna go serveral rounds. I've been to race days in the past and you only got 2 time trials because people oiled the track down and instead of stopping like they're supposed to, they dragged oil all the way down to the return lane. So if that happens, and you go out in the first round, that's only 3 runs.
I'll have to say this much though. After spectating on import days, if you're any kind of a driver, you should be able to go some rounds though. Many of those Honduh dopes can't drive/shift worth a shit. Dial a 14.10 and run a 14.90 or something like that. That's the guys I want to run against. "Gimme the W"

14s? Your giving them way way too much credit. Your talking about four lines deep running 17s and 18s.

Re: Rock Falls April 9th (sunday)
I have a feeling you won't get your money's worth on Sport Compact day (as far as number of runs goes). It seems like there are a lot of people planning on going. Paying extra may be the smart bet.
Personally I wish they'd have a cut off (like 14.0 and faster day). That would cut the number of cars down and make spectating much more interesting.
Obviously if you're the owner of the track that may not be such a good idea, but a guy can dream can't he?

Well, the car is going on the dyno tomorrow, so I should be there as long as nothing blows up!

Ahhh.... looks like someones been there a fews times. Without exaggerating, yes that's usually how it is. You almost can change out a DSM motor in between runs if you had to
I hope you guys post back sometime late Saturday on a Go or No Go. If enough people go, I'll have to drag myself out of bed and go. Jet- would like to see your car go down the track.

Damn man. Last time I went and got there at 9 am. I got in about 12 runs before time trials started, I had to leave because my boost leak was too big! Oh and this was on a sport compact day.

Re: Rock Falls April 9th (sunday)
Anybody that's going on Sunday have a valve spring compressor? I'm referring to the type that allows you to change the springs with the head on the car. I'd give ya something for using it and then send it back via UPS within 3 days.
thanks.
