So the two SCAR's at Bills were sold and we checked with them, 6-8 months to get a SCAR. I guess all the manufacturers have halted production to see how this all shakes out
They had ammo and a SCAR to rent, I tested it out. It had iron sites and I am sure was a little beat up, but I loved every shot!
The sights were a bit off I think or something because I was pretty consistent. Awesome night at the range and now I just need to find a SCAR to buy. I am going to Oklahoma next week so hopefully I can find one there, buy it and have bills get it shipped to them. Fired a SCAR, sig516, .45 pistol (can't remember what kind) and my buddies .223 AR and his .22 AR. The 22 was fun, little plinker but fun and cheap to shoot.
Great night, really want a gun so I can do it more often.
I bet Bill's loves melted plastic on their barrels.
The sight adjustment was probably set for 400 yards or something stupid like that. Did you check it?
Permits to purchase or carry are needed for handguns and "assault" type firearms. Anything else, rifles or shotguns, can be purchased at the counter. All transactions have to pass an NICS check.

Just bought a Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22 yesterday. The price was way to good to pass up. Both my father and my uncle bought DPMS 5.56/2.23's 3 weeks ago so I didnt feel the need to go that route. I wanted something fun to shoot, cheap to shoot and something a little different. I will probably wait out this high priced bull shit and try to find a decent price on a DPMS .308 eventually.
Picked up the gun, bi-pod, front hand grip, scope & mount, along with 1300 rounds of federal's for $627 after tax. Very happy with it. Then went back and spent $70 on a nice case and cleaning supplies that I forgot. So for under $700 I couldnt go wrong. Put 300 rounds through it yesterday and no regrets!
Kind of a small pic, I'll get a better one on Thursday when we go back to the range. My parents bought me some exploding targets for xmas so this should be interesting! Trying to figure out how to mount the go-pro to this one. haha
Happiness is a warm gun!

Brother in law gave me a old single shot 410 shotgun for xmas. It was his that he got from his dad. When his dad passed recently he then got his dads gun as well. With only girls for kids he passed his gun on to me, so it is something that means a lot. Should also be a fun gun to get out with and kill a few wabbits.

Today I added a Sig Sauer 1911 45ACP to my collection. Can't wait to shoot it!

You want to charge me a $200 tax for owning my AR? Kiss my ass bitch! I can't even sell the thing if this passes, I just pay the tax or lose my gun. I don't see any way this passes.

Welcome to the USSA.

AR are available, but the pricing is inflated. DPMS for example is costing way more than it should. I know a guy who built a very nice custom AR and the original buyer backed out. If i had $3500 to spend on a gun I'd buy it, but I don't need something like that. I'll end up getting something a bit more basic and yes I'll over spend for it, but I'll have it. The bigger issues is mags and getting ammo.
This is why I love having a .22 as I can still fire it off without spending a shit ton. When I do get a reg AR I'll likely get something that is converted to .22 as well so I can save ammo on it or is set up for 9mm which is more available.

I actually pulled the trigger on the purchase about three days after the psycho went into that school. I traded a guy my Polaris xlt (I dropped an 800 triple into it) for the AR, a handgun, ammo, and cases. I wanted a new deer rifle and figured it may be the only time I can own this style -I hope I'm wrong. I've been keeping an eye on Cabellas gun library and they were down to only one AR in the country! Part of me believes they are scared to list these online, but who knows.
Yeah, mags are going nuts. I wanted to pick up a bigger mag for my 10/22. The Ruger BX-25's were $20 each a month ago, now they are $150+!! It is nuts. I can't even find any of the steel lips mags. I guess I will have to stick with the 10 round stockers for now. I am going to be looking for a compact 9mm this week and a .22 pistol.

Glad my dad stocked up 10/22 mags on black Friday!

You can still order up the BX-25s for regular cost at shopruger.com. Yes they are on back order from suppliers, but they will be available again soon. Spending more than $30 on one of those is redonkulous. Brownells also carrys (also on back order) good mags for the 10/22, actually some say it's higher quality than Ruger and they have the speed strips.
I used a 30 round champion mag this weekend, pile of plastic shit wouldn't feed so i chucked it.
Side note, you can also buy those 3 to 10round adaprters for the 10/22. Allows you to have 3 ten round mags loaded and attached to the gun. So another way to have 30 rounds on tap.
I also picked up my carry gun this weekend. A nice LC9. I was going to spend money next on an AR, just don't want to overpay right now and honestly, I don't think they will full ban the guns right now. I'll take that chance for now and just buy PMags and ammo every now and then (can use with my dad's AR as well).
