head issues

I did a leakdown test last night and gave up.

Put #1 to TDC , hook up air/gauges, 100psi drops down to 12psi . i listen to air, its coming out of spark plug hole on cyl#2 WTF

i put it on #4 hook up leakdown tester, shows 89 on this one.

move #2 to TDC, hear air coming throu #1 shows 12psi on the gauge
check on #3, air coming out of #1 shows 12psi on gauge..


how are #1 and 2and 3 tied together? any possible way?
