Re: Closing of MN Government

goverment is top heavy.

Too many secretaries, swap them with interns who don't get paid, everyone will be much more happier, new fresh young meat every spring and economy will be better. Just look at how it was before when president was getting some!!!? Everything staid open! hint hint

Re: Closing of MN Government

If the state needs more money, they can start by taxing clothes there. I don't know how many states have that, if any. We're taxed on everything here in WI except for food. Any time i'm over there i tend to take advantage of it though.

BTW- What do you guys pay for license plate renewals?

Here it's:
$55/ cars
$65/ trucks
$35/ drivers license renewal

Tab renewals used to be HUGE, for a 4 year old or newer vehicle it used to be $350, but that got cut down to $103.50, which is the highest i have paid so far for a truck or a car.

License renewal i think is $17.50 not sure tho.

Re: Closing of MN Government

$350! Wow! I know when i live in the cities for a short time i remembered hearing stories of people who had their cars registered in WI at like a cabin address but lived in the cities. Big penalty for that. I didn't live there long enough to feel a need to do it so i kept it WI plates.

Re: Closing of MN Government

Plate depends on year and market value of vehicle.

If you want to know where to transfer a title, dig through the phone book. Not all of us live in your part of town. I know of 2 that are open in my area. Hell, I do not know of one dmv that closed. A frined of mine transfered a bike yesterday.

If we start taxing cloths, the price of cloths will drop slightly to accomidate it. I have heard this on several occasions from people on a trip. States that do not tax clothing or a particular item can charge a bit higher in stores. Minnesotans do not make off like bandits when buying anything. We are one of the highest taxed states. I believe we are 7th(???).
