It was just local network settings. Their wireless router is set up to not do DHCP so it was just a matter of getting the correct IP and gateway on the local interface. Windows in all it's design brilliance still required a reboot after this was done before it started working correctly. Not supposed to require it, but MS doesn't make perfect software. I better quit before I go on a "winblows" rant haha.
Someday the whole world will use a Unix variant and my life will be better. Of course that would support the theory of evolution. Hmmm, maybe it won't happen afterall. Thats okay, us unix guys will own everything then.
