Re: My 6th car of 2004
That car must have some bad ass head on it for 4300 dollars though. I usually don't make comments about someone else selling their stuff, but this is in the parking lot so I don't care. But yeah that is some fucking marking up, holy shit!
Why don't you post it for sale on here too then? It doesn't matter where you post it, Jakey will find it for all to see. He probably knows every car that is on the trader. Good find Jakey.

Re: My 6th car of 2004
I usually find anything and everything.
E.G:
-Dane's Galant is on the Trader
-Dane's old Van is on the Trader: http://www.gopartstrader.com/cgi-bin...ec1ff5529b7f9e
-My buddies old GST Spyder that went to Fargo last spring was for sale this Fall on Tuners with a rather significant markup and no mention of the prior theft notice attached to the title.
I should also mention that if anyone sees anything in Iowa that they're thinking about purchasing feel free to drop me PM to see if I know anything about it. I know of one car on the Trader right now that is a complete POS but advertised as 'Bad Ass Fast Furious Bla Bla Bla'.

Re: My 6th car of 2004
Well, in Danes defense, there was a lot of work done to the car since he bought it beyond the head word etc. A lot of work on the interior etc. As far as Galants go, this one is pretty nice, Ryans is the only one I think I like better but there is a lot more work into that one as well. The downpipe and boost leak are pretty minor considering the quality of the car, probably not a bad move to get them fixed to sell it, but otherwise I would say his pricing isn't far off. Doesn't really matter what he paid for it, he does have quite a bit into it now besides.

Re: My 6th car of 2004
Thanks Mike. Part of the reason I want to sell is so that I can clear the table with you guys up at QPR.
Yes guys, it is a markup. It's called an "investment"... which is part of the reason I bought it. Chris, you apparently don't shop for Galants often. A car is worth as much as people are willing to pay, and that's about what a VR-4 in it's condition goes for. Just go check out www.galantvr4.org. Some go for upwards of $7k on there, and don't have much more $ into them than mine.
In the end, if you don't like the price, don't buy it. But it is in excellent cosmetic shape inside and out--which is particularly hard to come across in the the northern Midwest.
If you haven't seen it in person, stfu. The only person who can make an accurate judgement so far is Mike. I love the car, and the only way I can justify selling it is if I get that much for it. Part of the reason I didn't post it on here is cuz I knew one of you tightwads would make a remark. But since it's been posted, I guess I'll add it to the classifieds.

Re: My 6th car of 2004
I'm not a tightwad when it comes to nice cars, I just can't see spending that much on a 14 year old car with so many miles with little problems remaining. You are right though, I don't watch GVR4's at all so if thats the going price then hell yeah more power to you. If it sells that was one hell of an investment! Best of luck homie, post some recent pics, I'd like to see more.

It may take a little time, but it should sell for that if he fixes the two minor problem I saw mentioned in this thread.

Oh, and a stereo bezel too, I think most people buying a car for that price wouldn't want to hunt for trim peices.

Re: My 6th car of 2004
It really shouldnt matter what he bought it for. He got a great deal when he first bought it then he did some work to it so he has every right to up the price of it. Its alot like what the Classic Car people do, they will buy the car for a rock bottom price then sell it for $50,000.
I dont know anything about this car but just adding my input.

Re: My 6th car of 2004
Well, if you are selling it to clear the balance here, don't, we can work that out somehow, I don't want to see you get rid of a car you like for that. If you would get rid of it anyway, then feel free to direct anyone you want to me for questions, the car is worth the money. The small things being fixed would almost make it worth raising the price another 500. At any rate, if you feel you have to get rid of it, stick to your guns, the car is worth it.

There are debts that have been put on hold longer that I want to clear up as well, so it's not just you guys. But I want to stay in good standing with you guys for the next time I bring a car up there! But yeah, I think I've made up my mind. Financial peace of mind is more important than keeping a car I've wanted for a while.
