Yep. You would want to remove the lower cover to see if those are aligned also. Does the car drive now? If it were me, instead of dicking with the wiring, I would pull a plug wire to see if it is getting spark. Then I would disconnect the fuel feed line for a second and see if it is sending fuel to the rail. If both of the above are fine, check timing.

Thanks guys, I really do appreciate all your suggestions. I really don't know where to go from here. I might just end up trailioring it to QPR, but would like to explre these suggestions first. I thouhgt I heard the sound like when a sychro grinds long right before it shut off... dunno if that helps

Tried a different ECU and having the same problem. Leaning toward it being the cam angle sensor now... will try to check that tomorrow.

Thanks Mike for letting me borrow the ecu.
