Re: Would you follow..?
If you don't like LS swaps, just get out of the car community completely. They aren't going anywhere. Deal with it and stop acting like a fucking 5-year-old.

Re: Would you follow..?
Yeah that guy is right ls swaps are d umb, you should build a badass car like his, I mean it went oh no time slips, oh wait it dyno'd.
I mean he is known for......
Wait who the Fuck is this tool ?
Put up the build thread.
All I've seen is posts on a bunch of forums from dsminmn because he has bought a ton of parts and must think he is special.

No one is asking you to buy a Ford. I made a suggestion to do something original. Something different. Everything is being LS swapped these days. That's cool and all but there's no originality to it. Besides a Ford motor I suggested a Hemi. Being most Mitsubishis had "hemis" anyhow it would be a funny coincidence you put an actual V8 Hemi into something of the like.

Right, right; because Chevrolet V8s are the end all to the automotive world. Wrong. I'm giving Brake a hard time because he's doing what everyone does; drop the stuff that requires extra learning and going with something more simple.
Swapping an engine such as what he wants to do isn't easy but the getting it running and such in the chassis is simple. Then tuning is nothing. It takes the fun out of that side of things.
I won't touch on your last comment just to save us all the multiple responses that will follow.

Oh goodness! The guy that thinks he is God Himself has shown up. You have one car..one. I have four main cars of my own I'm trying to get running. Never mind the other two that are on hold. Then I easily have 4 other cars owned by other people I am constantly working on for them. For free mind you. Also answering ungodly amount of questions from all sorts of people all the time.
Ask Jeremy how many times I've answered questions for him or how many times I've offered to drive all the way down to Inver Grove to help him figure something out.
Not to mention I live over a hundred miles from any and all of my cars. So guess when I get to work on them? Saturdays and Sundays when I don't have other things going on. So, consider that when you find time away from you egotism.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting a simple setup. In this case, simple is reliable power. But clearly he's at fault for wanting that and being willing to put in some effort now to save effort later. That's such an awful mindset, isn't it?
Bottom line: Stop being a shitty enthusiast and let people express themselves and their passion for cars in their own way. Which should involve this thread being back on topic.

Re: Would you follow..?
I look forward to getting pics and helping with the project as well and can't wait to see this go up on our forum. I think it'll be done with great detail orientation with only the best workmanship that I know Jeremy, myself, and some friends can put forth. Idc what engine somebody puts in THEIR own car as long as it's done right and most importantly is built functional for the purposes they use it for. I am putting the engine out of the conquest into my mighty max with a manual and LSD. This will also be photographed and added but I'm sure nobody will kill be because it's not LS? Anyway. Glad there is interest, support, -&: still community! This forum and its relative community is still one of my favorites I've ever met on the inter webs or in person.

Conquest Build
Well I promised photos when I got it, so here they are!!
Shows that it is pretty damn clean, came with everything but is only a roller, motor was in the hatch, does need some paint work but hey, rather do paint work then metal work due to rust! All in all very good start for an LS swap car.

Conquest Build
Just to show a little of what I've done so far, Hood up a battery and made sure everything electrical worked, and it did! then started tearing down the front end to see how everything looked, I knew when I bought the car that there had been an accident to the driver side front, may need some attention but, decently solid though, I will get photos of that this weekend, since I havent taken any new ones after I removed the fenders.

Re: Would you follow..?
Maybe I missed it, will you be building your own mounts? What about harness? I assume you will use GM stuff for harness/ECU?

Re: Would you follow..?
Yes Mike, hopefully going to get a complete pull out including harness and ecu. Then with the help of a few friends will make my own mounts. I have found a few complete LS1 pullouts which I am starting to highly consider

Re: Would you follow..?
Could do a 4.8 L20 and bewst the crap out of it for relatively cheap. At least I know the motors are.

Re: Would you follow..?
I have definitely considered it, but how well would an aluminum block handle boost? Whichever motor I go with I am sticking to aluminum to save that much weight in the front

Re: Would you follow..?
Do a 5.3 like 90% of the turbo ls cars out there, will hold enough.

Re: Would you follow..?
Lol I don't want to do what 90% of people do Aaron. That's the point of this build. That's mostly why I would like to just do an N/A LS2 and maybe down the road spray it.
