Re: 46/1000 Winter Project!

Swapped the trans and such today... Almost ready for the big swap. Oil pan has to get welded. To everyone who asked, the Holset will be fed by a -4A with a FP red restrictor. Drainage will be done by -19 AN stock Holset line by welded nipple to my oil pan. Sold my Magnecores for some Taylor wires instead, 10MM.

Almost ready...

I didn't bother cleaning it because I expect it to die in the next 6 months or so of driving.

Pretty sure it's a modified Cummins drain tube. I bought one NEW from the dodge dealer and use it on my setup. Needed some hose, went to TNT and only -16 fit over the tube.

I meant -16, not -19. My bad. Still a massive line!

And now the moment you've all been waiting for! Motor is back in the car. Time to get my piping fabbed etc and wiring hookup etc. Going to go to sleep, exhausted. Enjoy!

Re: 46/1000 Winter Project!

Just thought I'd update this thread a little bit. The motor went in, the turbo is mounted, and the piping is being finished up at Primo.

The fuel pumps need to go in, the axle needs to go in, front motor mount needs to be modified and fitted (looking for one to use in the WTB's), the electrical wiring needs to be plugged in, a battery tray needs to be fitted, some small stuff.

I need to buy fluids and add them, and John (Pushit2.0) should be over to help base tune it and give it a shot at starting up.

I'm REALLY shooting for it running this Saturday. We'll see how the week unfolds!

Re: 46/1000 Winter Project!

So this is where we ended for the night. All the piping done and coated ink gloss black, turbo mounted (mocked up for now) with the oil line attached to check for clearances.

So close! I can feel it!

Oh, and for comparison:
