Yesterday was the cutoff. Plus this was only for the Motorsports helmets, not the bike helmets.

Re: HJC Helmets and Corbeau seats group buy

There is a difference in helmets?

I assume the ones from the group buy are good for drag/auto-x etc since you said motorsports.

Just making sure I am getting what i need for when i go to the track.

The motorsports helmets are SA-rated which is required for competitive road racing, karting, etc. where M-rated helmets (motorcycle) do not cut it.

I believe the primary difference is that SA rated helmets are fire proof, and designed to withstand impact on a roll cage bar.

Re: HJC Helmets and Corbeau seats group buy

when I last talked to todd, the backordered helmets were still on schedule (5-6 weeks from when we ordered) So I think we are still 1-2 weeks out. You can call Todd to find out for sure.

Re: HJC Helmets and Corbeau seats group buy

Well if anyone is interested in a large helmet from this order, i still haven't received it yet (black one) but i would be willing to sell mine.

My motor blew up over the weekend, needs funds for fixing it or a new car.

Let me know via PM. I will make a true FS thread when i get it if no one messages me.

For what it's worth, I picked up my seat last week and Todd said the helmets should still be here within a week or two.

Hey Murlo, I dunno if you've heard from Todd, but you should be able to get a refund now, because shipping has been suuuper slow and we wont have our helmets in time for chumpcar. I might end up getting an Si-12 or a white one, haven't decided yet.

Yea, Todd emailed me yesterday and he is going to get me a refund. That will help out for sure for paying for my new motor.

Yeah, Todd emailed me too. I'm bummed, don't really want to spend more money just to get an Si-12. But that is the mac daddy of helmets.

Yeah, it's just tough to swallow on top of $500+ for a full racing suit. But the more I think about it the more I see it as an investment in my safety. This isn't a demo derby where you can get by with a snowmobile helmet, flannel shirt and jeans.
