Re: Break-in

Whoever posted up that it was probably some guy trying to make his CTS look like a V is probably right, especially stealing the grills.

If I were you, I'd invest in an alarm with a pager and a gun.

Re: Break-in

But regular CTS's dont have the same opening for the grills, so thats retarded. And if you are baller enough to own a cadillac, you cant spend 100 bucks on a grill off ebay? wtf...

Because most of the people who own cadillacs and are morally flexible enough to steal probably sacrifice a few meals to make the payments.

Re: Break-in

Sadly, there is no garage option around here that I know of. I don't want to drive to go get my car...

Re: Break-in

Got a barely used OEM grille from a guy on the V forum, $200 shipped, apparently much better quality than the ebay ones. Zip tied on now until I get a chance to paint it, figured they were easier to get off instead of the expensive one-time-use plastic push pins from Cadillac.

When I have my garage space in Des Moines soon I'll take off the front bumper completely and fix/paint the lower grille too. Also going to use clear lexan for the fog light covers and get a yellow bulb for turn signals instead of the yellow diffuser plastic.

Also, the regular CTS and the CTS-V apparently have the same sized main grille opening, so they are interchangeable. The lower grille isn't the same though.

Re: Break-in

Bummer dude. Time to get 6 different wheel locks. Then people will just look at the wheels and give up.
