Re: viridionplague's project

ok so i still have fuel cut, i replaced the 3" maf, no boost leaks, replaced the ecu with an eprom unit.

i have no idea what is causing this fuel cut, it happens at around 4500-5000 rpm.

oddly enough when i have an ic pipe pop off i could go to redline just fine. if anyone has any insight to this please let me know, as far as i can tell my only options is to get a chip burned that will eliminate fuel cut.

Re: viridionplague's project

alright today i got my chip from db today and woot, no more fuel cut. so tonight i buttoned the car back up and shes off for a wash tomorrow.

next step is to get the walbo 255 in and the 880's and off to get tuned as well as getting the whole car checked out to make sure everything is a-ok.

ill have some pics of the whole car tomorrow after i get it washed up cause right now it is covered in salt and looks more lake ass than usual

Glad to hear you got it taken care of. I wonder if I have anything else laying around the garage that you need...

Re: viridionplague's project

well i got another chip burned today for 880's, got those installed, my peak injector duty cycles dropped from 146% to around 70%

im still getting some knock but i think creeping to 20 psi, on a 14b and 91 octane is just gonna cause that regardless.

tomorrow ill try to get my fuel pump in and get my boost and vac lines straitend out

Re: viridionplague's project

well yesterday i was getting some stuff straitend out, replaced my o2 sensor, and got a wideband to help a little more. went out for a quick spin to see how the sensors were working. nothing big, then all of a sudden i get a huge burning smell, kind of like carpet.
pulled it home asap as i was only a block away and as i got into the garage my gf could smell it as well.

i didnt notice anything burning as i inspected the car, belts all looked fine, there was alot of smoke coming from the oil cap after i pulled it off. this is with the car off and it wasnt just a small wiff but it was coming out rather notacably for a minute or 2.

i think its time to break down and part this thing out, and buy a new car
