I agree. If i had a badass kit car capable of taking a large motor i would try and use the largest one i could afford.
A badass alloy 8 Liter plus v8/10/12 would be an entirely different world of awesome.
I would spend 6500 or so on a used Viper engine. I was seriously considering a kit car last summer but not knowing how well it was put together was a huge turnoff. Didn't want to spend a decent amount of money on a car to find out it is a POS with limited market value.
Sure can look nice though.
