[QUOTE=bertrenolds5;268323]Schides, I like the pic, were you up on the gullyies to the left of the tram? Looks like good snow!
Yes sir! I've done everything there except for a-z chutes and the big couloir. My brother did the couloir when he was like 17 or 18, freaking nuts. I broke my wrist about 8 years ago in the gulleys, fell from about half-way down to about 50 feet above the top of the bowl. Face first. Over rocks. With no gloves on! I still have scars from that one
We've had some insane trips out there, two years ago it snowed 18" one day and like 9" the next day, absolute heaven. I normally will not go up on challenger because the ice reminds me of MN skiing, but those few days I did it nonstop. Even hiked up towards A-Z chutes once but w/o a beeper all we could do was the high section dumping into challenger and then peel off and go under that MASSIVE rock face down towards the triple chair that goes back up to the tram.
You NEED to get a set of these poles:
This year, new goggles (MASSIVE faceplant at about 45mph last run of the year last year):
And new skiis. Trying to find some pics I took, but the cores on my Rossies are SHOT. Too much rock hunting
