I think it closed around 1990 after I'd moved. It's the Applebees up there now. I really miss the game room that was about four businesses down. We went there all the time in the heyday of the stand up video game. I remember playing Tron for hours.

Now the two good theaters are the one up on Miller Trunk and down at the DECC.

Wow, I always thought she was so sweet, and hot. She reminds me of some high maintenance girls I've known along the way, always looking for the next better sugardaddy. Ouch. Sorry you had to go through that, that's not fun, but it is the best weight loss program known to man.

Re: School in 1977 vs 2007

Where this is true, its also so far exaggerated. I've seen plenty of fights in school and no cops were called let alone a damn SWAT team and punishment varied between a slap on the wrist to a couple days suspension if the kid was a trouble maker. People dont get in trouble for having aspirin either, yes it was against my schools rules and if found they were told to take it home, but it was basically a formality. And thinking how a kid is punished for a broken window will decide whether he becomes a business man or a gang member?

Re: School in 1977 vs 2007

Well I still say todays kids are way to pampered. I remember having to have an imagination, no TV or Video games, hell I remember black and white TV's (my first one), I remember my family getting its first VCR hell the remote had a long as cord, no wireless at the time.
Honestly how many of you really go outside and just walk, visit parks, actually spend time outside enjoying what life has to offer? I know I sure don't. I bet I'll probably waste a good amount of my life behind this computer or watching TV. And I'm sure I'll miss out on a lot of what the world has to offer because of it. Funny thing is I remember as a Kid you could hardly keep me inside, I always wanted to play sports, run and play war games in the woods, go horse back riding, and Fish. And not with a boat or all that fancy takle, just a rod, real, line, hook, bobber, and some bread or worms, sitting on a bridge drinking lemonade. Hell i can't remember the last time I did that before I was 11.

Anyways, we're all just saying wish we could pick the best of both times and combine them. And the dazed and confused movie.... KICKS ASS!!!
"so was this a smoked lunch or liquid?" and was the first movie I ever saw ben afflect and I didn't even realize it was him.

Re: School in 1977 vs 2007

My parents raised me with that 70's style mentality. It kinda sucked growing up cuz I was kind of a trouble maker, but once I grew up and realized I was a little shit, I straightened out. Looking back, I'm glad my parents raised me the way they did. I agree that some of those things are a little exaggerated, but I can definatly see some of those things happening now, or will be happening soon considering where our society is going.
