Re: Hood Vent

Did the same thing. Works but mine still runs super hot. Havent been able to get rid of the problem completly. Big radiator and 2 better fans even. I even went so far as to remove the rubber seal on the windshield side to get more air movement in there.

Re: Hood Vent

Looks nice, a lot better than of those vented hoods. I just think the vented hood (invader) looks really tacky, althought it does have great functionality. I like the more subtle vent. And the purpose of this vent is to allow the heat to escape, right? where as if it were turned around, the forced air would just move around a bunch of hot air?

Yes, the reason I got this was to let hot air escape. I wasn't looking to blow outside air into the top part of the engine bay, but rather to help the hot air infront of and on top of the manifold escape. And for the record, car is still running hot

See, I know I'm not the only one with this issue. I too removed the rubber seals, and plan on putting maybe 2 washers under the hood bracket to raise up the back of the hood a little bit. Also now I plan on adding a deflector under the car, to scoop some air up and into the radiator so it get's a little more flow to it.
