Re: little problem... boosting too much

A) if you had a leaky BOV before, you would run less boost. Now you have a decent one on and it holds boost better, so you are seeing more.
B) Search for info on recirculating BOV's. Your MAS reads the amount of air going into the engine. If you open up any part of your intake plumbing after that, the engine is getting less air than it thinks it is getting.
C) read more closely here, there may be something you're missing; can you adjust your wastegate actuator arm? Are all your hoses feeding positive pressure to your wastegate actuator tight and not leaking?
D) do you have a boost leak anywhere?

IMHO get the turbine housing ported, that will help solve the problem. Consider a different o2 housing, such as the LIPP ones that LSE sells.

Re: little problem... boosting too much

All my hoses are checked out and no leaks. If I have a boost leak there would be no reason why the car would boost a lot. I switched out the MBC and it still is doing the exact same problem as with the old MBC. So the next thing i'm going to do is go back to what worked before. I'm gonna toss on my old Type-S BOV and recirculate it back to my intake, that's the only thing I can think of now. My wastegate is swapped, all lines are good, the arm looks to be in the right spot. I can't think of anything else besides my new solution to this problem. My o2 housing should be fine, its been fine for a long time now, the dumptube has always worked for my set-up.

Re: little problem... boosting too much

how do you not know by now that the BOV has to be recirced? The only way you dont have to recirculate it is if you have like a MAF-T and a GM mas or along them lines. And guy, maybe you BOV isnt opening? cuz it definetly aint leaking, if it where leaking youd be getting no boost. And are you sure your waste gate actuater isnt broken maybe cracked or unplugged.

Run a line from the compressor housing to the waste gate, if it still runs to much boost check your waste gate actuator with a pressure tester should be full open in the 15psi range. If all that does not fix it then you need to port out the waste gate hole and try a different o2 housing (either a LIPP or similar).
