A good friend of mine at Purdue sent in the heads off of his family's pulling tractor and had CAD models produced to which he has based his CNC porting off of. He also did some other goodies before finalizing the porting specifications but I won't mention that for the time being.

I was referring to the statement about a big ol' chunk of 355-T6 aluminum. That would be a solid block. You have to cast a street block to form the coolant passages. Solid block would be race only.

Why? You'd still have to use sleeves since you obviously can't have aluminum cylinder walls. Water passages are water passages, material doesn't matter much. Unless you're talking about a solid block, which would be drag only. Or street/drag is your last name is Hess.

CNC machining since you need sleeves no matter what in an aluminum block.

Yeah, you could easily machine that out. Might have to put a few plugs in the block for the outside end of some passages, but it could be done. Definitely not worth the effort though.
