Holy mother of God, I hope your putting a GT45R on there to use that porting job, that's one hell of a d-port. Best of luck to ya.

Good luck with the car, looked pretty sweet when I saw it at MAP! And I think a FAST Spyder would be one hell of a sleeper, and a really fun car.

Re: Lor and Seng's Project (Goal: Fastest Eclipse Spyder FWD)
Stumbled upon this page again, and just wanted to add some numbers.
The car made 598whp on c16 and then the trans let go on the dyno. So we had to work a couple things around. We converted it over to awd and then went back on the dyno. This time with E85.
The car made 560awhp and 426 ft-lb. We maxed out the injectors so we turned it back down to 470awhp for the moment. Until we get the new fuel system in there so we can max out E85.
Lots of things to do this year. New fuel system, get rid of the smoking precision turbo, put the car on a diet and give it some better rubber.
I probably won't be bumping this thread again........till... :P

Wow those are some nice numbers. What kind of fuel pump and fuel line setup are you running? Have the 2g awd tank in there?

Yeah, we wanted it to be FWD, till the trans let go. So than we had to options. Buy a Shep FWD trans or convert to AWD.
So we were lucky to find a 2G GSX shell for about $1000 and so we picked the whole thing up from a yard. The exterior was a bit rusty and dirty from sitting for ages.
Turns out the trans and everything shifts and operates perfectly. So here we are with that.

Stock 2G AWD fuel tank, stock fuel lines, and a single Walbro 255lph fuel pump.

Re: Lor and Seng's Project (Goal: Fastest Eclipse Spyder FWD)
I'm not a huge fan of the convertible but am digging the awd swaps in them. Sick numbers too! Looks like a lot of fun.
Btw, was that 1g up for sale this summer? I couldve sworn I saw one just like it in the cl, and when I tried to contact the person to buy it, I could never get ahold of them. Oh well, sick spyder though.

Re: Lor and Seng's Project (Goal: Fastest Eclipse Spyder FWD)
Thanks for the good comments.
Yeah, I found the 1G on craigslist. Bought it in Willmar MN.
The lady upgraded to a newer Monte Carlo, so wanted to get rid of the 1G. It's pretty clean for a MN car.

We are not sure at the moment. We're going to tear everything apart soon to find out what's smoking.
Yeah, I'll tell him.
