Re: Cash Job

You can't donate plasma if you have ever passed out at the sight of blood. Doh.

Hold up...you make 15.46 at Target. Now thats some pretty cash there. Why is the pay check so low? I work for Target too. And I own a house, have a kid and a wife. If you work hard at Target you be making more. Are you a Team Lead or what?

Read again. The paycheck amount is referring to his Coca-Cola job.

Next time I donate blood I can ask for more info (as I've been curious as well, and also how much it pays).
Right on. They only take the plasma.

Very simple and the only think that is uncomfortable to me not being to fall asleep while you are donating In mankato (Biolife Plasma) you can donate 2 times in a 7 day period. You get 20 the first time and 30 the second. The extra $200 a month is nice especially since it only takes about an hour and a half per visit. It is how I pay for my TV and CC bills.

Re: Cash Job

I've done the opposite. I donated blood, they seperated the blood and the plasma, and pumped the plasma back into me. They did this twice, so the bag of blood they got from me was the same size as what they normally take, but twice the concentration of blood cells. It isn't painful. It's no more painfull then donating blood the normal way. Except they pump stuff back into you. It just feels a little cold going back in because it's been out of your body and getting all cold in the machine. I was really cold for about 2 hours after I donated though. It was the middle of summer, in Yuma Arizona, and I was driving around in the afternoon with my windows rolled up and the heat blasting. Other then that, wasn't that big of a deal.

Re: Cash Job

Pizza driving FTW... you can get a night PT job pretty easy, might be a little more of a pain in the ass since it's summer, but with Fall coming up it should be easy.

You can make about 19 or so dollars most of which is non taxable.... depending on how honest you are =D Plus driving around listening to music and checking out chicks is fun.

I have never heard of that. How often do they let you do it? I know that you cannot donate whole blood very often because it takes longer to regenerate when compared to plasma. Plasma is pretty much protien and water.

Re: Cash Job

I can't remember exactly, but it was something like 3-6 months or something until I could donate blood again.

Re: Cash Job

They have a BioLife Plasma in Coon Rapids/Mounds View listed. I might have to look in to doing this. To bad it's not closer to me or I'd be going twice a week too!

Tim - since it's an extra $200/mo ($2,400/yr), do they send you a 1099? Or because it's still a "donation" is it tax free money?

Re: Cash Job

I havent been doing it long enough to find out about the 1099. I doubt it though 'cause like you said it is a 'donation'. Luke(9guy9) has been doing it for a lot longer than me though so he may know. Maybe he will chime in.

It is definitely worth it though. Bring a book and relax for an hour to hour and a half and get paid!

Re: Cash Job

Plasma money is tax free. I don't know why, I don't ask. I have been doing it for a few years. probably made close to 5K, and I only get weak when i try to stand up . Its pretty sweet to get paid $15-20 hr. cash to just read and look at the girls that work there.

One word...Gloryhole!

But yeah, Plasma si the way to go. I would be on top of that if I had someone to go with. I don't want to be alone that first time, scary!
