Re: e85 question
Your most likely going to hit fuel cut with those injectors... but 21psi might be doable... being that your running e85 the timing isn't so bad, its still a little high. I ran 30psi with a SAFC and 1000cc pte's with no knock, but I also had a FMIC and I retarded the stock timing 3 degrees... Defiantly not ideal but it did work.
I think that 780cc injectors are on the small side for a e16g, while you might be okay at 21psi, its best to get some sort of setup that you can monitor the knock so you know for sure. The chipped cars I see usually use the stock boost gauge to display knock, which is nice... otherwise get a pocket logger if your really cheap.

Re: e85 question
let me get your mod list straight because your mods are sort of confusing.
- e316g
- 272s
- 1000cc
- fmic
- manual boost controller
- e85
- 255 fuel pump
- 23psi
- DSMLink
- tuning tuning
I think you should get DSMLink. If I were investing this much into e85, it's best to do it the right way other then getting issues doing it the wrong way, probably just shoot Ecoli (shane) a PM. You can run with the safc but it's very limited in tuning. I was in the same spot about e85 and I'd rather just modify it more safely/properly because if you do it the 'cheaper' way, it will work but it won't be running at it's full potential. I'm assuming with e85+e316g+272s+255+fmic+dsmlink+tune= close to 300awhp

Re: e85 question
Dude, with that setup he'd easily be looking at over 300whp. He'd be around 350whp. If he maxed out the setup he'd be looking at around 400whp.

Re: e85 question
Nos...lol. jus kiddin. let us know how this goes. 300awhp is pretty fun...even though i havent driven a 300awhp 1g yet. I'm guessing I'm around the 220-230awhp at DB right now... I'm positive that extra 70+whp gain can be done easily with 272s, e85, dsmlink+tune and bigger injectors. just thinking about the 300awhp mark is making me smile

Re: e85 question
http://www.advancedfuelinjection.net
They have the 'modified spray pattern' 1050's for $269, 1000's for $249, or if you're never going to get a bigger turbo you can just go with 850's for only $230 (not really worth it for the small price difference).

Re: e85 question
go with the 1000's you wont be disapointed. Im running a set of PTE 1000's in the evo. they work great! 1000's usually dont max until around 400ish whp.

Re: e85 question
I was at over 400awhp (dynojet) with RC750's; just find whatever is the best deal (850+ probably). 1000's or bigger should be good if you ever plan to do a slight turbo upgrade though.

Re: e85 question
Yeah E85. IDC doesn't mean shit IMO so I don't really pay attention to it; I richen my tune to see if I still have injector left. (mods list: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/memb...ner-39186.html)
My hp is at a pretty low RPM, if you have more power at a higher RPM you should need slightly bigger injectors since the injectors have less time to be open.

Re: e85 question
Just note that holding the injectors wide open is not good for them, which starts happening after 100% IDC. But it does work.
