Re: My Talon
My 6 puck sprung with a 2900 held up real well tonight at 27psi on my new setup and pulled extremely hard so I think you should be good with your new disk.

Re: My Talon
Good results for the boost and stock intake manifold on a 2.0L. Hey what brand dyno was this on?

Dyno dynamics, the heartbreaker.

I can drive around right now and haul ass, my clutch doesn't slip. But when I did two launches/pulls immediately right after each other, it slipped the 2nd time.

yep. what, is it, 18% lower than a DJ? 400hp / .82 = about 490hp on a dynojet.

DynoJet reading 18% higher than DD != DD reads 82% of DynoJet.
400 * 1.18 = 472
400 * 1.16 = 464
(it seems a lot see between 16-18%, so between 460-470)
Good luck with the new clutch setup.

Re: My Talon
About 18% lower on DD puts you at 490hp. Click. 275.8hp on DJ. 224.7hp on a DD. And, 224.7 / .82 = 274hp. DJ read 275.8hp.
18% less than 100% = 82%
82% X dyno jet numbers = DD number
DDnumbers / .82 = dyno jet numbers
400hp / .82 = 490hp
Regardless, all the numbers are good. No biggie. 470whp is nice.

Re: My Talon
1 page back. That's where the 400hp number came from . 402hp, right?

Re: My Talon
Ah, I see you took the nasioc stats of DJ reads 21-22% higher than DD. Just personal experience I guess, I don't think we've seen quite that high between our two dynos here in Minneapolis. But another good reference.
+1 for a real dyno sheet!

Re: My Talon
A DJ in SAE correction in AWD mode seems to around 15%-17% higher than our Dyno Dynamics. It's around 17%-20% for a DJ in STD mode depending on weather conditions. I am only talking AWD cars though. And it still depends on weather, strapping, how each dyno is run, etc.
There is a big difference in the math between saying X reads 18% higher than Y compared to saying Y is 18% lower than X. For example 550cc injectors are 22% bigger than 450cc, but 450cc are 18% smaller than 550cc.

I was misinformed about the AWD vs. 2WD thing previously, but I think that's because I always talked to you crazy evo and dsm people!

Hence, my link to the nasioc dyno results showing that a DD reads about 18% lower thana DJ. Not that a DJ reads 18% higher .
If a typical DJ reads 18% higher than your DD, then you're DD could read a little higher than other typical DDs. No big deal. Just an observation. All dydnos even of the same brand will read different by +/-2 to 3%

Re: My Talon
I wouldn't try to compare a Subaru as directly though with the way that those ECUs control timing, they aren't the most consistant cars from one run to the next.
The numbers from a DD will depend on inertia settings and load settings and the numbers from a DJ will depend on the correction used SAE, STD, DIN, Uncorrected, etc and the smoothing factor used.

Re: My Talon
Ah! I know just the silhouette of the scoobie platform. Makes sense. We can all agree the difference is over 17% however you want to do it. not bad. . . If the results are REAL . I'd like to see that dyno sheet too. Very interested in the curve shape.
