Re: Getting the Laser ready for AutoX
Thanks guys! I also made my fuel filler door a remote release like the factory. Again, the owner before me cut that shit up too. I found a black door and all the hardware and threw it in.

Re: Getting the Laser ready for AutoX
Went up to twack's last night to get this shit together. Let me say timing is kind of a pain in the ass on DSM's. Once I got it on it was rewarding though. Twack had some tips too, but I still think the chrysler 2.2 I did was easier.
Here's a table idea that was spawned using a 6 bolt bottom end twack picked up:
The Mess:
Here she is all timed and buttoned up:
Here's the running DSM:

Re: Getting the Laser ready for AutoX
Thanks, but we're not out of the woods yet. We gotta put coolant back in it plug the cop back in and bolt it down, put the plugs in, etc. Not too much more though, then we can start it up.

Re: Getting the Laser ready for AutoX
It's finally home!
After a nerve-racking drive home without my headlights working she is back home. I went to turn the lights on before we left Twack's and low and behold, the fuckers wouldn't turn on. So I had to follow my girlfriend in my Stratus home.
I would talk more and show pics and what not, but I'm tired.

Re: Getting the Laser ready for AutoX
So I changed my oil today with some thick ass Valvoline VR1 20W50. Yay or nay? I think my engine is loving it.

Re: Getting the Laser ready for AutoX
All I've ever ran is 20w50... Never had any issues with it. Quite a few people run it in their DSM's.

Re: Getting the Laser ready for AutoX
I'm doing a tb swap soon here. Going to ditch this pile of shit 90 tb for a 92. Also ordered shaft seals and a biss screw and biss screw seal. Hopefully that will cure my car of all it's idling problems it's had since I got it 3 years ago.
I haven't really been working on mine much. I'm in the auto tech program here in Winona and my friend brought in his 92 Awd Talon that needs a lot of tlc so I've been doing a lot of work on that one. Today we plan on ripping out the ABS bullshit.

Re: Getting the Laser ready for AutoX
Brought the Laser into school today. Swapped throttle bodies but its still acting up. My only other thoughts are the fuel pump is clogged, fuel filter plugged, or something along those lines. It's just running too lean.

Re: Getting the Laser ready for AutoX
Finally got the thing tuned up right. Tested it out in the snow/rain and had some fun. Fwd is so pointless in the rain.....
Since I have a short week right now at school having thursday and friday off I'm just going to leave the Laser beam there and extract the broken studs next week.

Re: Getting the Laser ready for AutoX
I kinda like having the hole there. That's right where the middle of my air filter is, so it gets a nice shot of cool air through the hole.
