Well I guess it's time for an update.. I basically gave up on the car for a good month. I got sick of putting money into the car and removing/re-installing the same parts over and over just to figure out more problems.
Basically the new wiring harness I bought developed an issue where my ecu wouldn't shut off and all my dash lights would stay on. So I pulled the harness back out, (This being the 5th time) and transfered everything back to my original harness that I cut up just trying to fix the one I bought. I got the harness all back together and taped up. I had to force myself to even get this far on my car. Then it took even more self motivation to actually put the damn thing into my car.
So I eventually sucked it up and got the harness in my car and it fired up and shut off perfectly. That night I put a quick tune on it at 26psi and just beat the living hell out of it. I ended up catching air at 110mph at one point. I didn't care I was trying to blow the damn thing up. The only issue that came up that night was not being able to shift at 8k after beating on it for so long. Other than that, it took the beating like a champ!
Lately I've just been driving the car to work and wherever else I need to go. I haven't even put the laptop on it for awhile. I plan on getting the thing tuned and running perfect probably tomorrow morning.
One thing that's changed with my car is I ended up buying a smaller battery. It's for a '01 honda civic and about half the size. I had to make a new tie-down for it and this is what I came up with.
Simple and works well.
Also after putting the harness in the car sooo many times I gave up on hiding it 100% like it used to be. It's basically just laying along the crossmember now, compared to before when I had it come up behind the intake manifold. But I really don't care anymore. It's clean enough..
I tried taking a HDR pic of the engine bay but with the lighting I had it just looks too over-done. But here it is anyway.
I plan to take the car out once it gets nicer and do a photoshoot.
