Re: All Mitsubishi Cookout and Car Show -- August 21st, 2005

For those of us that sponsor the event, are we still entered in the show? I already gave you my $5 My car will be up by my display though, not with the rest of the cars.

Yep, sponsers cars can be entered in the show. You probably will lose some votes though if your car is up by your booth instead of in the DSM group. Its your choice what you want to do on that one.

Re: All Mitsubishi Cookout and Car Show -- August 21st, 2005

Plans are coming along great for the Cookout. The trophies are ordered and a lot of the supplies are purchased. The only thing we need now is more cars! We are up to 119 cars signed up, which is great, but I know we can do better.

I updated the sign-up list last night. Its at: http://mn3s.org/attendees2005.html And we've had five more sign-ups since then.

If you haven't signed up yet and you are planning on coming, please sign-up. Its saves me time on the day of the show. Then send me the $5 through paypal and print off your car sign and you'll be good to go.

Its crunch time now.

later,
Curt

Hey everyone,

We are less than a week away from the Cookout. The sign-ups keep coming in. I just checked and we have 136 cars signed up. Thats awesome!! Here is a list of reminders:

1. Sign-up if you are coming. Sign up form:
http://mn3s.zforcenetwork.com/list/?p=subscribe&id=4

2. Paypal me the $5. My paypal is cgendron@mail.com (no credit cards please)

3. Fill out your car sign ahead of time. Car sign: http://www.mn3s.org/car-sign.doc
My example sign: http://www.mn3s.org/car-sign-curt.doc

4. Bring an FRS radio. We'll be using channel 7 to annouce prizes and other info at the show.

5. Bring a lawn chair for hanging out.

Remember, the All Mitsubishi Cookout and Car Show is this Sunday, August 21st, at the Ellingson Car Museum, in Rogers, MN. The show runs from 11am to 4pm.

Can't wait,
Curt

Well sorry to back out but I'm going to Road America in Elkhart Lake Wisconsin this weekend for the Generac 500 race. I got free tickets and pit passes to the race so I'm gunna have to skip the cookout!

Hopefully there will still be a dsmstyle dyno day so I can meet some of you there. Have a good weekend guys, hope all goes well!

Re: All Mitsubishi Cookout and Car Show -- August 21st, 2005

Hey everyone,

The All Mitsu Cookout is only two days away. Woo-hoo! I just checked the sign up list and we have 151 cars signed up!! WOW!

We'll be using the FRS radios for annoucing prize winners. There is always the urge to chit chat with your buddies on these things. I'd love it if you tryed to resist that urge. A lot of people will be listening for the car numbers. We have a lot of prizes to give away, so we'll be giving stuff away during the whole show.

I've also gotten some last minute giveaways. http://www.rockauto.com gave me enough magnets for everyone. And they gave me a $25 gift certificate. Plus our sponsors, Brookdale Mitsubishi, LSE Performance, and JET's Customs all donated prizes.

Hope you can make it out to the All Mitsu Cookout. It is this Sunday and it runs from 11am to 4pm.

later,
Curt

Great, who's the clown that scheduled this thing for Sunday? I drove up there to find an empty parking lot. Guess I should have looked at the actual date instead of just the weekend it's on.

Well I won't be bringing my DSM but I am still planning on making it. Where do we park if we aren't showing a car and its not a Mitsu?

We have 7 DSMs in our driveway and none of them run, go figure.

You'll meet plenty of people that you'll never even notice your friends aren't there. Just let them know you are from DSMStyle and maybe your screen name.... it's definately a good time, and it's a perfect day (no rain forecasted).

Allan & I will be there sometime around 11:30 or so.

Don't worry about coming alone, you'll meet plenty of people. Craig, I'd assume just park out front in the parking lot and walk around back to the grass field (that was my plan with the S anyways, but now CVD is going to pick me up in the 3k)

Re: All Mitsubishi Cookout and Car Show -- August 21st, 2005

Well peeps, I tried. Mapquest gives out shit directions. I left today late already (like 11) and it was to take about an hour or so to get there. I got about 40-50 miles towards there and then I did not know where to go. The roads on mapquest that I was suppose to take were no where to be found. I drove around for like another hour and no luck. I just got back now to my house (its about 1:45) because I was low on gas at that point. I really wanted to make it and i'm pissed that I couldnt. Hope you guys had fun.
