Re: BIR Wednesday night drags 7/16
I may be speeding out of turn but the fastest run I saw Aaron run was 11.4@118, but I think I remember him saying he went 11.39 or something, he made a lot of passes.
Andre went 11.2@135 with what ended up being a melted phenolic intake manifold gasket, the car had idle surge and eventually we lost the wideband. The car would pop at 7k rpm so pretty much no way to go fast. We were very disappointed as the car was nuts a few days before and we prob wasted any decent runs at the track while we were piling on the brakes out first four or five runs. Oh well, pretty sure we are going to bring three cars down for the next one, Andre, mine, Jessie, maybe guy's too.

Re: BIR Wednesday night drags 7/16
Yeah, I ran a ton of 11.40s, I ran 2 11.3s@119.
Nothing to complain about here, other than I ridiculously underestimated the power of cams.
My car has no power up top, how you say?
I trap 96mph in the 1/8 and only 119 in the 1/4. I'm hardly picking up anything in the back half of the track and you can plain old feel it when driving the car.
It's a long day of racing, I made 17 passes in 2 hrs with basically no issues. (Ran out of gas on one pass, discovered my alternator tensioner bolt is not tightening up completely)

Re: BIR Wednesday night drags 7/16
Awesome runs Aaron! Cams seem like a logical next step. A used set of whatever brand 264's or 272's could probably be found for a couple hundo. Or if you have a set of spare stockers laying around, could send them in to get reground like I did on my Lexus, think they charged me like $250.
BC 280's for $250, maybe a little big for that setup though.

Kelford 272's for $350

Re: BIR Wednesday night drags 7/16
Thanks guys, yeah I'm very happy that the car can be competitive now, it's all I've wanted since I bought it.
I still have the shift box to install as well, which will make it even more consistent going down the track. I don't know if I have any video, but some of the launches it was a handful and had to be driven.

I have four of your launches and yes your Car was going sideways unlike Andres car lol talk about bad ass smoke show. Have a really cool vid from back of his car catching you on the big end. Both cars were pretty fast

Re: BIR Wednesday night drags 7/16
Lol wow shift light, if you had read some you would have seen it was breaking up at 7k. Normally don't need to shift until 9k. Car was broken. Oh well

Re: BIR Wednesday night drags 7/16
3 hrs of work.

Nate, I need to get top end, it's basically non-existent on this car.
Anyone that see's the car move can tell, Nuke and Fuji saw it last friday night, you can feel it driving the car too.
I also need to get shift box in so I can get the car shifting more consistently.
All my passes were with 0 adjustments to tire pressure, susp. or anything like that.
