Didn't look like I would be able to make it; everyone around the area with Mitsu.s decided to cancel last night around 12 and 3, AM. Hahaah. Oh well.

I have like 3 bugs to get off from the drive home from the detail day last night. I'm surprised there weren't more, but then again on empty roads you can totally dodge them when you see them coming.

Battery replaced, breakfast consumed, off to the meeting point with the St. Cloudians.

Re: All Mitsu Cookout -- Sunday, August 28th, 2011 -- Rogers, MN

I saw a few 1g's getting oil off the oil filter housing using mitsu-turbos which is a no-no so for anyone that was there run your oil off the head unless you have a restrictor in the line but I would still go to the stock location on the head. Here is the link for the bonehead performance kit http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1G-DS...item53e8bec22d
If you ask about the dsmtunner discount they will give it to you for $25 shipped. MAP has a kit just like it for $30 but it's not in stock.

If you don't believe me it's a bad idea to run off the OFH read this, http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/turb...bo-brands.html

The get together was great this year and I wish I could have stayed longer but I went to watch the twins win for once. Someone have the winners from each class since I left early?

Awesome! Nice pics, and they were mostly the cars I wanted to see! John's galant, Derek, Dwayne, and Kirill's quests, and is that Micheal Lomker's evo? That's great.

I believe it is Micheal Lomker's evo, his brother is driving it now, met him at the detailing party.

What's the deal with the 1g with the huge can before the TB and no IC? I left before it got there so I missed it.

Hell of a party as always Curt, wish I could've stuck around longer.

Saw some nice rides and ran into some old schoolers

This car looks like a wreck that should be in a mad max film but under the hood was very nice.

Who had the fastest DSM at the get together again?

Re: All Mitsu Cookout -- Sunday, August 28th, 2011 -- Rogers, MN

Kudos, no make that many kudos to Curt. I cannot believe how professional and well organized this event was. I have attended a lot of meets in my life, but nothing of this epic scale. Coming from the Honda scene, I am more used to sleazy, ricer types who would steal you blind if you did not stand by your car.

I was impressed by how decent and polite all the people at the meet behaved. I felt like I was accepted right away, something I have not experieced at either Nissan or Honda meets and certainly not how MNSC treats people. The food was delicious and the school makes a nice setting to have a car meet. I also appreciated the swag at the end of the meet for various categories. All in all, I would rate this meet as a 5 star! Thanks again Curt!

Thanks!! That is much appreciated. I have a great group of volunteers helping me and I put a lot of time and effort into putting together a great show. The only thing that is cheap about the Cookout is the price.
