I don't usually literally laugh out loud, but I did to this. My wife wondered wtf, so I had her read it. That's one of the best stories I've heard.

LOL my wife did that once in the evo8. She said it was just the weird floating feeling when I 'did that shifter thing' (NLTS) that gave her stomach butterflies. Good shit

Awesome looking forward to seeing what it picks up at the track!

I’m going to dyno it to after I get my Magnus V3 Cast intake on the car. I did check the IDC @ 35 PSI, on a set of 2150’s it is 83% @ 9krpm, with an AFR of 11.6. I’m using a base fuel pressure of 44.5psi. I don’t have a comparison to that from the old setup. I would need to turn the boost up to the mid 40 psi range to even start to compare.
In the power department I changed a lot of things this year:
Map stage 5 head (The head that was on the car was a factory cast head!), bumped compression by a point, billet 76mm compressor wheel on the 42R, 3.5 aluminized steel to 4” aluminum exhaust, and to wrap it up I’m waiting on the new cast Magnus intake manifold.
I also figure that I removed 125 lbs from the car, even with adding carpet and door panels.
This year should be good, hoping to get deeper in the 9’s, a trap speed of 160+ would be nice too.

Re: Mark's 1G Winter Projects
Add material to the combustion chamber? I thought you upgraded to the 4202 GTX billet 74, but billet 76, dang.
What fuel pump do you have?

Yep GTX is a 76mm, so is PTE. Garret will not upgrade a cast 74 wheel to a billet 76, however PTE will. 800 dollars buys you a billet wheel, compressor housing and an aluminum back plate.
This wheel is sick.
This is a better pic:

I gained compression by building a new long block this year, so new pistons. I’m using a fuel lab pump, I think the 1800 hp version?? Got it from MAP, It has an internal speed regulator. I had an A1000 with an Aeromotive pump controller, sold it all on E-Batch for almost the price of the new pump! Funny thing is that it flows more fuel in idle mode than the A1000….Unfortunately I need to upgrade my FP regulator to a pro series Aeromotive unit. The standard a1000 Aeromotive FP regulator would not return enough to the tank, thus raising fuel rail pressure making tuning a bitch.

9:1, it was 7.8:1. I cannot wait to get a fresh supply of E98 to get the boost up to where it was last year. Then I can see how this setup shines!!

It's a good thing that she is a great sport. The last time she rode in the car it had a GT4067R on it, tuned at 30 psi. Its not the same carnival ride now!

Re: Mark's 1G Winter Projects
Well it’s been awhile since the last post. The car is running great. I have a fresh supply of E98 and I’m off to the track once again in hopes of getting my license passes completed. I hope the car makes it off of the trailer this time! I went out today for a quick 3rd gear pull to check the tune, AFR's are good and boost holds 43psi, so tomorrow should be a good day if everything holds together! I should get my magnus cast manifold next week, hopefully it will give me enough time to get it in before the MAP event.
