1994 eagle talon DL

Ok, first off, it is a DL model but was converted to a 4G63T fwd five speed car by the guy i got it from. And it was done, not so good.

From what I can tell it has some sort of 2g 7 bolt motor in it. Supposedly it was an Evo 3 motor but i have no proof of that. It does have a 16g turbo on it but is not a MHI that i can tell.

Anyway. I bought the car hoping to turn it around and get it into a decent car. But other things have come up.

1994 Eagle Talon DL
2g 4g63t
FWD 5 speed trans. Form the little I drove it no grinds or anything.
full 3 inch exhaust
Front and rear strut bars-ebay style
Ebay Universal fmic
Ebay bov he had it not recirculating.
carbon fiber hood

Interior:
Aftermarket bucket seats, they are comfy. lol
No major defeects minus the dash peeling on passenger side, but i will include a dash in good shape that i have.
A couple gauges-oil pressure, water temp, boost.

Bad thing is, #2 rod was starting to make noise, we checked it out and it was a bearing issue. I have replaced all the rod bearings but have not run it yet. I am in the process of getting the car back together.

Also I am not sure what computer is in the car. I took a look at it and it was marked bad, so I am not sure if it had a problem and was fixed or what. BUt they guy that owned it before me has been driving it for years like this.

I would like to get $1500 OBO if I finish it up and make sure it runs good. Or $800 OBO if someone wants it as is.

I do have a buddy with a pickup and can probably meet halfway if someone wants it.

I will have pics up shortly.

Re: 1994 eagle talon DL

I do have the front bumper cover and headlights for it. I just took them off so I could re route the FMIC piping.

Re: 1994 eagle talon DL

If you are referring to the one that mounts to the trans. Yes it is there. but its not connected to anything. It mounts to the trans not the block.

Thats why i said this car was poorly done.

From the pics I confirm a 2g head and tranny. based on the front mount not being on the cross member I think its a 7bolt block, the owner would have to look at the front of the block twards the tranny bell housing, and let us know if there is a 10mm hole in the bell housing but the block does not fallow the bell housing. If its a 6bolt block, which I doubt, you could bolt the proper front motor mount onto the block and have it go to the front cross member. If it is a 7 bolt motor I would also wonder if there is a rear motor mount, and if so how is it held in place.

I was talking about that one. Its not connected to anything.

John, there is a rear mount, but I am unsure of how it looks. The whole motor is tilted due to wrong motor/trans mounts. So its probably one that someone made.

Anyway. Motor is shot, locked up. Looking at replacing it. Got a couple options here in town.

Might be doing a little bit of work to it to turn it into a decent car.

So could probably lock this for now,
