? about rules

I was checking out Moroso's website to see what rules they have and if I'm missing anything.

And noticed a few things I don't understand for upcoming 2006

http://www.morosomotorsportspark.com...te/Default.asp
Go to Dragstrip and then click on Tech and Rules

what the hell is an engine Diaper? and am I allowed to run down the track using my laptop to moniter my car?

Re: ? about rules

Engine diaper is a high heat tarp/canvis type of material that wraps around the lower end of your engine or your tranny so if you blow a rod out the oil pan or block or blow apart your tranny then the diaper catches all your oil or tranny fluid. That way they dont spend half a day cleaning the track.

Man them rules suck! They are really strict.

You cant use your laptop unless you can find a place to hide it. If I were you I'd put it under the seat then pull it out after you race while you are in the staging lanes or pits.

Re: ? about rules

Those look like bullshit rules. I don't know if they are rules just for that track down there or what. I haven't heard anything like that at Rock Falls. Looks like you might have to hide the laptop since it's considered a recording device and you are in a e.t. bracket. Brian, you can always try using a palm pilot with dsmlink loaded on it. I have tried it and it works pretty decent. I think you can upload to the laptop then. Be easier to hide.

No knowing what your car is doing down the track in my mind is dangerous for the motors sake.

Re: ? about rules

exactly I always want to to know what's going on with my car. Even when I go for short drives to the store I almost always have my laptop up and running.

Plus I use my Track logs to know how my run went, if there was anywhere I can improve or tune, etc.
