2005 Mazda 6 Mazdaspeed Turbo AWD

Article

274hp@5500RPMs & 280ftlbs@3000rpms

Are they are the right track comparing this car to EVOs and WRXs? It might be a fun car to have but I would be skeptical of the drivetrain and overall durability of the car. For that price I would go with the competitor I think.

It should be close. I don't imagine the strength of the drivetrain is that of the Evo's, but they're headed in the right direction.

They actually said that the Mazda is not aimed at the EVO and WRX. It is more of a luxury car aimed at the Audi A4 and Accord type products. A sports sedan, not a sports car.

I agree, the Mazda 6 AWD should be compared with the A4 Quattro and the like. It's quite a bit more cushy than an Evo or WRX.

A Mazda spokesperson said their main competitor is the new Legacy GT.

That is a perfect comparison. The new Legacy GT is a sweet car.

I would love a LGT. Hopefully the scoobys drivetrain will hold up.
