My new baby!
Well, the talon is going to have competition for driving time this summer. I bit the bullet and got a new toy! I just bought a 2005 Suzuki GSXR 1000. It is a new design for this year and should be looking at ~160 whp and 80 ft/lbs of torque and it weighs 370 lbs dry. So, if anyone wants to race a bike, let me know
No this isn't going to turn into a car vs. bike thread!
Some pics!

Re: My new baby!
Awesome! A good friend of mine is selling his '99 GSX-R 750 w/nitrous and picking up an '05 Aprilla (sp?) 1000. I like how your new bike is one of the few new ones that doesn't have the "ass" exhaust but stuck with the side exiting. I personally think the side exiting looks much better plus pipes are a hella lot cheaper (at least for the '05 636 another friend just bought).

Re: My new baby!
List is $10,900, I got it for $9,800. I get the first black/silver one that Larson's gets. I keep bikes for a long time when I get them, so buying a new one makes sense. I will probably keep it for 6 years at least.

Re: My new baby!
Another one. Not as nice as the new 1000 but was a super bike in its day.

Re: My new baby!
I used to have a 99 GSXR 750 and loved it, but never got much time to ride it. Now my job schedule will permit me to ride a lot more so it was an easy choice.

Re: My new baby!
Awesome! As much as I've always wanted a bike to have for a commuter on the nice days and a fun ride any other time I'm simply afraid of getting hurt.

Re: My new baby!
Awesome purchase, but since I have no fear of speed, I would probably kill myself very quickly on one. Plus the fact that I can't ride.
Looking forward to seeing you out cruisin.

Re: My new baby!
Thanks guys! I am excited as hell!! It has been a while since I rode very much. This bike dominated the World Superbike race yesterday. There were 2 GSXR's and they do 2 races a weekend. Suzuki got 1 & 2 in the 1st one and 1 & 3 in the 2nd one. Not bad for a redesigned bike in its first race!

Re: My new baby!
No way! They say it already pulls power wheelies (no clutch) in 3rd gear! It already has a HP to weight ratio of 2.1lbs per HP. That will be plenty. If I need more I will put a K&N, exhaust and cams in it.

Re: My new baby!
Nice! Very Nice! Congrats to both of you! (I think I just said that to Ricky and Miranda to hahaha) I don't need anything that fancy, I am still waiting for Chris to sell me one of his GPZ750 Turbos. That is still my favorite bike . But I wouldn't turn either of those down!

Re: My new baby!
Sweet bikes. Although personally, I'd choice something else over the GSXR series, they are still great bikes.
Sure beats my ninja =\
