I found this link on socaldsm yahoo group, they had a link to a discussion on http://www.3si.org/forum/showthread.php?t=...53&page=1&pp=10
i guess the 3s guys are loving it, i hear its pretty expensive but for some of you with shifting problems (different treatment) or lifter tick problems it might be helpful.

Wow, another snake oil product that cures everything. :bs: Do a little research on the snake oil companies that touted you could run your car with no oil after their "treatment", a little enlightenment here is in order.

Just use sawdust, its thicker .
In all seriousness, it seems good, but I need something to go through MAJOR testing before I'll stick it in my motor or recommend it.

I am all over this, technical advice from Tom? You know it has to be top quality! Besides, they were talking about it in Cali so it must be badass! I am going to put some in Swanny's tempo! Then it will never die, that will piss him off good. :bounce:

I say go for it, I have tryed that kind of stuff. I put "Prolong" in my DSM after the rebuild. does it work? fuck if I know, but like people that think premium is better fuel for thier car and drive a KIA Rio. I feel good about it. And that is all that matters. I would like to try somthing like that in the Talon. Thanks for posting I'm still looking at getting some, or somthing else. I will test before and after when I do.

I would like to add that, this kind of stuff is a band-aid at best. I just like to play with it. I would not use it to "fix" something. Fixing cars is my job not mechanic in a can. :goodluck:

So I'm going to vent a little bit about this.....
What I find to be quite interesting is how if some of the more "knowledgeable or experienced members" on this board had posted a link or reference to the EXACT same thing Tom did, I can guarantee those of you reading this that half of the stupid shit said in this thread would never be posted. Why is that? Because too many people can't look past certain characteristics of Tom to actually be respective and consider to something he is referencing. Sure Tom says some stupid shit sometimes, we all know that, Tom knows that, but my point in general is that it is things like this that end up getting newbies flamed (i.e.: A lot shit on Tuners, Talk, or even the Cyclone Intake thread on here that Mike cleaned up).

Calm down Jakey, You arn't seeing the hole picture, like the AIM sessions on my desktop connected to tom, or the ones on Matt D's from the other night. It has been mentioned before, Tom gets so much crap because he would be dissapointed if you didn't give it to him. He knows as well that I only tease people I like and if I don't like someone, I won't bother responding at all.
As far as the technical merits of what he is posting, people can make up there own mind and they will, Corey put up his .02 and others that have interest will as well. He drew crap from me more because of his reference to the cali board. It has the same effect on me as when someone mentions the guys on NABR are talking about something, I look at it and make my own choices, but I refuse to give it credit because the "elite" have been talking about it. I have seen a lot of stupid opinions on those boards as well. If you blindly follow people "in the know" you will end up making mistakes just like they do because we are all human. Read it all, check into other sources and make sound judgements based on that, not just because you heard it on some well known board.
And if it really offends you, I will limit my harrasment of tom to the AIM sessions. I didn't really expect anyone would believe I was serious..

One other thing, the comments made about the product wouldn't get changed based on who posted it. If something has merit, it will stand regardless of who posts it, if it doesn't, it will draw fire as well. .

"He knows as well that I only tease people I like"
soooo, are you gonna ask me on a date sometime soon or are you gonna just hide your feelings for me or are you gonna express your true feelings. im taking it that for as many times you tease me, you must have a lot of feelings for me, its time for you to release those feelings out into the open.
but sadly for you, im not gay, nor will i ever be, so find someone else to stick your dick in, preferably someone of the oppisite sex. LOL

My point with my post from last night is that every post made will be viewed, read, and interpreted differently based upon the audience. When someone comes along and reads a post with a general connocation similar to those which I earlier referenced to, how is he/she supposed to know one is just giving Tom shit versus flaming him? Especially if it is a new member or someone who is easily strayed away from asking questions when viewing negative posts in other areas of the board.
I'm done with my bitching but I'll gladly continue this discussion with anyone via PM, AIM, or MSN.

The whole point is I highly doubt any knowledgeable or experienced persons would even post anything about oil additives. People that have been into cars for a long have seen millions of these products come along and have found out later that they don't do the things that they advertised. When I was 16-18, I bought every type of chemical additive trying to solve problems that actually would've been cured by the real solution, things like changing plugs regularly and making sure carburetor jets weren't plugged. The only additive I've ever seen that works is the better fuel injector cleaners. Of course taking the injectors out and cleaning them manually is much preferred, but I've seen an obvious improvement in one car that had really dirty injectors.
And for Tom, well, I'd have rode Raptor wayyyyyyyyyyy harder had he suggested that this would actually fix anything.
And BTW, lifter don't have to be replaced necessarily. They can be cleaned very well out of the car. Just make sure to compress them before reinstallation though.

i don't know i 'm just thinking if this stuff works so good how come it is not advertised on the tv like that other stuff that works so good. can't remember the name of it but it is in all the part stores all over the place.
i'm just a little leary of using things that have no real hard evidence to them... :stick:
